Snifit has been seen regularly in the later years. Most notably in SMW2: Yoshi's Island and the sequel to that, I believe. In fact, a lot of SMB2 characters made return appearances in the two Mario World games. Wart, though--Wart is the forgotten misfit from SMB2.

Aside from Little Mac appearing as an assist trophy in SSBB, pretty much everything associated with Punch-Out has been forgotten since the SNES days.

I think a new Punch Out! with MotionPlus would be amazing. Little Mac NEEDS to make his return.

They've also been in Mario RPG, and have cameo'd elsewhere. So your second sentence about nails it...

I miss the Koopa Kids. To add them to a Mario game would be amazing and add more opponents and diverse challenges.
