_the game will not meet the console seller expectations like GTA did
(won't move much units now that it is multiplatform).

_the game will get high reviews and disapoint many
(untraditional FF style).

_it gets lower sales than other games in the series
(GTA4 is at 10M when the others are at a total of about 20 for multiplatform... and I doubt PC release makes up the difference).

_it will prompt a graphical fanboy war over which version is better

I think on these points it will be an other GTA, yes.

(I personally liked GTA and the online, definitely not a 10 though, but it's a solid 9)

I surely hope FFXIII won't be the next GTA IV, because it was crap and I don't want FF to be crap as well. Simple as that.

It wont be as big as GTA IV, but it does not really matter since GTA IV did not have as much impact as people expected (suprisingly it did not kill the Wii).

It will be a commercial succes on both 360 and PS3 for sure, but it wont see monstrous sales.

You predict two things

 

FFXIII will sell alot of software, but little hardware

FFXIII (excluding vsFFXIII) will sell twice as much on the PS3 outside of japan as it does on the 360?

 

I agree with the first, laugh at you for the 2nd - look at GTAIV sales

The next GTAIV??? YOu mean over hyped and doesn't deliver???? Review scores that were clearly all about 7th gen improvements and not about the enjoyment of the game at all????
