1. Well if Nintendo continues to fail to produce enough, indicating they suck at producing hardware, then perhaps it will continue to sell out. Sales could slow down relative to the 360 and PS3. 2. By lowering it to $200, maybe by getting rid of Wii Sports as an option, they could maintain momentum. 3. There is no point to do it right now, sure. Also, M$ is paying a billion to fix their consoles so they might not be able to drop the price to counter Sony. We'll see. |
1. Nintendo is not the one producing the Wii, its a contracted production company that is, now two companies to keep up with the demand. They had no clue the Wii would be as popular as it is and its perfectly understandable that this situation arised, even you, someone who I'm sure thought the Wii would not do well has no right to have expected Nintendo to have anticipated this demand. Sorry the PS3 and 360 aren't popular enough to have these same problems, in fact I bet they wish they were in a position where they could have this problem.
2. Wii sports doesn't cost more than five dollars to include and removing it as well as lowering the price would only hurt Nintendo. Face it there is no logic, no reason for Nintendo to lower their price until their sales slow.
3. No reason to do it now? Of course not! In fact, No reason to do it for another year if not longer. The Wii is an ideal item as is and until its sales start to suffer, there is no reason to cut its price.
I also appreciate the fanboyish jab at the Wii's availability, I swear you'll try and find anything to attack the Wii with no matter how trivial or in matterial to the point.
