If wii owners stop buying crap like "Dragon Quest: Swords" then they'll stop coming. That game selling 10, 000 copies still makes a profit and there seem to be way too many blind gamers.

I wouldn't mind... maybe not depends on the point of the game, for now I'm looking forward to Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: CB

I have a feeling that I may be the only one who thinks that FFCC:CB has the potential to deliver higher quality than FFXIII. I'm not sure if I worded that correctly, but I am anticipating FFCC:CB much more than FFXIII - but then again I'm not anticipating any PS3 games and I'm mostly ignorant to most Xbox360 games.

But if when it comes out if it's good I'll end up borrowing it, I haven't bought an FF since 9; 10 and the others after just never got my attention like Tactics and 9 did.

I don't see how final fantasy XIII would benefit from the wiimote.

Porting it would be a HUGE undertaking

The graphics would have to be far worse than they are on the other platforms.

So why!?

I love my wii, but I don't want Square Enix wasting time porting this game, i'd rather if they came out with a game designed FOR the wii with the WIIMOTE in mind. (My life as king as pretty good, but it really didn't make any use of the wii mote either... why.. i dunno... and no, shaking doesn't really make the cut ).

Well, Final Fantasy was a Nintendo franchise for many, many years so it would be kinda natural. But series change platforms all the time and stay there so I don't think the odds of a new FF game the Wii are tremendous tbh (there could be some spin off or slightly unrelated FF game though, like on the DS!).
Square Enix likes to push the hardware lately with their FF games and are known for making brilliant graphics on the PS machines (FFIX on PS and FFXII on PS2 are epic in this regard) so this could also be one determining factor.

He's not the only person who believes that Final Fantasy got worse after the SNES games.

On the NES and SNES the Final Fantasy games were excellent games that had good stories and decent production values ... When they became "Cinematic Games" with the Playstation they became games with amazing production values, progressively worse stories, and the battle system became noticeably worse.
