 Dragonforce the band are crap. The guitarist is not very impressive. Children of Bodom, now those guys know how to play guitar.

LoL nah Avalach, that wasn't directed to you or anyone else on here in particular, just people in general who love to hate on Dragonforce.  I've seen them live twice on their headlining tours including their debut US tour... both shows were sold out well in advance and both times they put on a very entertaining performance and sounded awesome.   Youtube does not do them justice, you have to be there in person to take in the full experience IMO.

In contrast alot of their performances at big festivals like Ozzfest for example weren't as good as their main shows for various reasons, and also happen to make up the bulk of their youtube videos, so its understandable that they get some flak for not being good live... every band has had some bad or sup-par performances here and there.

Plus, you have to take into account the fact that Sam (the other main guitarist besides Herman Li) has a beer holder on his MIC STAND and is pretty much inebriated throughout the show, which coincidentally also makes for some damn good entertainment.  So whether or not they nail their songs 100% night after night is a moot point because they still put on a damn good show.... the keyboardists solo's are good stuff... cheesy as cheddar but youtube that and check it out for yourself since its geared towards the videogame audience

BTW i have heard of Isis but never listened to their stuff, checked that video out and they're not bad.

Converge is not my style, but you get an extra point for mentioning Rage as well... I prefer Traditional/Power/True metal bands... Iron Maiden and Helloween being my 2 favs... saw Maiden on their recent tour and that was the best live show EVER, hands down.

Bodom is good, but their last 2 albums were substandard compared to their earlier releases... Follow the Reaper and Hate Crew Deathroll were good stuff.
