Forums - Nintendo - Internet channel on the Wii

Hi all, i downloaded the wii internet channel when it first came out for free. what im wondering is if i delete this channel to free up some space for some vc games will i be able to download it again in the future for free or does that only apply to people who paid for it? id hate to want to download it in the future only to find i have to spend X wii points. thanks in advance.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I'm pretty sure that since you already downloaded it, the Wii Shop Channel recognizes your Wii as "owning" the Internet Channel. So you should be able to redownload the Internet Channel if you decide to delete it.

i know i downloaded several TG16 games and deleted them, and when I now see them on the list they say "Downloaded" and can be downloaded again for free. I would assume that it is the same for channels.



Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.
