Just flipped open my monthly gaming magazine... And to my great surprise I find a Spore-review inside... The game isn't out till 9th of September here so I had not counted on it, but whatever... Reading through it just got me even more excited then I already was! They gave it a solid 9.5, which equals totally magnifiscently brilliantly over the top awesome, or something like that. Having played the 'Creature creator' is what got me excited in the first place, although this really great review got me over the edge. I'm buying Spore... It's been a long time since I last bought a PC-game on day 1. But this game is so promising and looks so awesome and full of content that I believe it's all worth it!

So, back to my question; Are you or are you not buying Spore?!... And ofcourse: why or why not?!

Yep....already pre-ordered. But it's for my gf. She's highly addicted to the Sims...so this will take care of her fix until Sims 3 in February.

If my computer can run it I'll be buying it day one. If not, it will probably be another year before I build another computer. Bought a condo last year, bought a car a few weeks ago, and getting married in a few weeks so my savings = 0 at the moment. :-p

If my laptop will run it - hell yeah. If not, I'll wait for the Wii version.

Based on what I've seen I'd say no, not initially anyway. The concept is cool and it looked stunning the first time I saw, but that is now a long time ago and the game should be out by now (or a long time ago actually). It'll end up like STALKER did for me; eternal wait which results in a fun and good game but nothing stellar in the end.

No. The game may be fun for one "playthrough", but I wouldn't touch it afterwards so no buy for me.
It's also a bit to casual.

hell yes! the gameplay I've seen is great and diverse, ranging from arcade, to action/adventure, to strategy, to space simulation.

Spore really has a shot at being called best game of alltime.
