""I don't think Wii will suffer much from shortages this holiday season
11/17/07, 12:59
First of all, this is my first post/thread, hello!

Now i wanted to get something clear. So Harrison says Nintendo manufactures 1.8 million Wii a month. Let's say they began producing 1.8 mil wii a month since september (it probably began earlier, but let's say september). That means for the period from september to december (4 month) Nintendo produces 4 x 1.8= 7.2 million Wiis.

Now I added the worlwide sales number for Wii using VGChartz data. I started counting from the week ending september 8th until now (week ending september 10th). The ten weeks in between Wii sold 2.472 678 according to VGChartz. Now if we subtract this number from 7.2 mil we have 4 727 322 consoles left for the following seven weeks. I think that's a decent number not?

Or does my reasoning exclude some major factors?

*edit*: For the remaining 7 weeks Wii would have to sell an average of 675 000 systems a week to reach that number. I don't doubt it wiil and probably surpass it slightly, but i don't think Nintendo will fall short of console supply as drastically as so many articles state.""

This was mine.

"Yeah, I just uploaded some PC games only to find out I can't update the information on them. So I guess I'll have to start posting on the forums now instead of just checking here to see how the console war is going."

I started posting because I wanted to give PC Gaming a bigger appearance on the forums. It was a lot more console exclusive back in the day and the PC Forum had less than 100 threads total.

Hyperbole aside, I can understand where this guy is coming from. I've played through and beaten pretty much every Zelda game, I'm still working my way through the Hard Mode for the original NES game.

I will tell you right now, the only game I enjoyed more than Twilight Princess was Majora's Mask. The storyline is incredible, the controls are fantastic, the mood and puzzles are great.
However, the replay value for Twilight Princess is terrible. What it really needed was some sliding AI so you could go back through with tougher enemies. The only enemy in the entire game that gave me any trouble at all was the Knight, and as soon as I figured out the pattern he became just as easy as everything else.
Along with this, the explore-everywhere-even-if-it-means-getting-in-way-over-your-head aspect that made the original NES game so much fun was totally gone from Twilight Princess. There was never any reason to go back to an area you had already explored and you could never get to a place before the story called for you getting there.
The linearity of the game wasn't an issue the first time I played it cause the story was simply that totally awesome. I beat the game in a week.
the second time through I began to realize that there just wasn't much room to play around with things, and it got very boring very quickly.

It's a good game, excellent story, certainly not an utter failure and complete disappointment, but yes, I can understand the tedium of having to play through a second time.

I kinda miss this stuff. It used to be that people actually had reasons for derogatory opinions. Over the top, perhaps, but the reason was at least still there. Now everything has gotten to be rather rote. It's either completely trolling, completely attention whoring or completely uninformed, or just completley biased which often pulls on all 3. Of course, even teh people screaming "biased!" has gotten to be tiresome as well.

Seppukuties is like LBP Lite, on crack. Play it already!

"Hey, we (or maybe just I) waited nine-and-half forevers for the American releases of Square-Enix's Kingdom Hearts 2 and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, so why not wait eleventy-three more forevers for yet another game?"

I love Square-Enix games, but them as a company... well, they deserve some serious spite & hate. That's why I made fun of them about their taking too long on making games. Oh, and what's that? They let it go to ANOTHER CONSOLE? Fuck that. Man, how clueless I was back then on February 20, 2008.

Sony will prevail. My 60 gig says so.

PlayStation 3 Games:

- Rock Band
- Rock Band 2
- Soulcalibur IV
- LittleBigPlanet
- Guitar Hero: World Tour

Hey xbox fanboy Shura "More space doesn't mean more quality" Oh really! Hope you can read Reasonable post as it KO you! Also it point out why space is a great additional feature to games. Please do yourself a favor, quit trolling!

OT : EPIC AWESOMENESS!

I am not trying to trolling, and i am not saying than more space is bad, but all depends where is used. Remember the 10 gb of soud for Heavenly sword, and it wasnt the best game ever. I say that because there is a game named CoD 4, one of the best shooter ever, but is not in 50 GB blue ray disc and i doubt than resistance can be that good. And like i said it before, games like FINAL FANTASY really need that space.

So you're saying that CoD4 would have been worse if they had made the SP campaign an hour longer, but had kept the quality high?

You're talking bullshit here, if they had wanted to they could have added more content to the BD without making sacrifices.

You think the game gets worse because it takes up more space? There is no reason why Resistance 2 shouldn't be on level with, or perhaps even better than, CoD4.

Oh, great. Now I feel embarrased

MS announced that they will beat the ps3
07/15/08, 12:15

PS3 will outsell the X360 anyway, it owns Japan and has a bigger following in Europe than the X360 does, in time it will sell more in the US as well, they won't annihilate the Xbox 5 to 1 as they did in the prevous generation, but sony will still outsell M$.
