not agains't it, but since the are going to delay english version til 360 (even it just like 3 months its a huge wait for someone who waited since announcement).
my take, learn japanese.

Can someone tell me where this is coming from? From what I've read, they aren't delaying anything, but they're developing the 360 version at the same time as the translation for the PS3-version is going on, which only means that that's the reason the 360 version won't be released in Japan. Why does everyone say it's going to be delayed because of it?

It is being delayed until 360 version is ported. Square said that in order to launch simultaneously they would postpone the release of the PS3 version until they finished localizing and porting the 360 version. That's why most PS3 owners are angry.

Well I am disappointed in Square Enix and Sony for letting it become multiplatform, but my main concern is that the loss of XIII as an exclusive wil cause less jRPGs to come to the PS3, and I want them to come to the PS3 to make sure it does well. I know it does not really make much sense for me to think like this as I have an Xbox, so I would be getting the jRPGs anyway, but I do prefer my PS3

My other concern was that it would cause an inferior PS3 version, which it fortunately wont

However, my main problem is that it delays the game coming to English speaking territories (from where I can import!)

i don't know how can we believe that because the developers said so,

i don't believe them

I'm not, but people are angry because this lowers the value of their console of choice (assuming they chose PS3), and lowers it's chances of beating the 360 in the long run. I'd assume.

I agree. Are you new here? That was a very quick, and good post, that got right to the heart of the matter.

Yes, I'd assume the percieved anger comes form PS3 fans feeling their console loses percieved value when it loses exclusive games. So it's really less about the 360 getting the game, than it being about the PS3 losing a big exclusive.

I, personally, hope that any good game that can, will get ported to all the consoles, because anyone who wants to play a good game, should get the chance to purchase that game fairly.

As for those who think that the game would have been better if it wasn't getting ported to the 360, I think they truely believe that, but I also think that they have been brainwashed by marketing. I think it would have been the same game, 360 port or not, and I think there is no magical, gamechanging thing that can only be done on the PS3, that the 360 simply can't pull off, to the extent that they would remove it from the game entirely.

@megaman2

LMAO!! It's good to be king.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

They are going to finish the PS3 version before they start working on the Xbox one

I'm not new, but I don't post all that often. I'm a long-time lurker though.

The obvious delay that will occur due to release on both consoles at the same time in Europe. I expect it at most 1 year after Japan, like the others, any less is good but I don't expect that at all. Of course due to this I expect VsXIII to be delayed as well.

I don't care whether it's on 360 as well, just release it when it should be and I'll be happy don't delay it because you (SquEnix) want to be 'fair'.

Hmm, pie.

I am not against it "IF" they had said that earlier. I am against it because they touted the exclusivity many during the time there were a couple of press teasers and rumors going around.

i am against the delay of the English version more then anything else

It wouldn't bother me too much but for one thing... It's probably getting delayed because of the X360 version.

Don't forget, the delay may be intentional on the SE side. More consoles owners means more sales. The whole reason they didn't finish FF13 as fast as they could/should to begin with.

It's entirely possible that the multiplat-ness is what makes SE release the game sooner rather than later.
