Forums - Gaming Discussion - Has your opinion changed on the PS3 - Post E3 / Leipzig?

I don't really feel any different after GC about the PS3, it was basicly a confirmation of what most had guessed would happen. Casual focus.
Don't get me wrong, I love my PS3, it's great.
I think that Eyepet seems really fun, from the trailer at least (which I doubt is ingame as the game is out late '09), and it could be something I just pick up every once in a while if I just need to chill or have a visit from my younger cousins. Which is basicly what the game is designed for I believe (pick up and play).

the ps3 for me has been my altimate console. the only problem i have this console is that the year after always seems to be th best year but when it comes it is never what it was said to be.

at the end of 2007 when i looked at the list of games for the ps3 to be released in 2008, i was like oooooooooo aaaaaaaaaaaaaa, but now i am like where have all the games gone,

so now i look towards 2009 and am thinking oooooooooo aaaaaaaaaaaaaa, i just hope that this time round all the games dont get delayed and come out in 2010 or the games canceled

Not really, but my opinion of the 360 went up. Sorry. The permanent loss of BC is a big deal to me.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I think thats just something you'll have to deal with.  Even than, its not that hard to plug in your PS2.  The PS3 is a great value either way.  The Xbox 360 has limited backwards compatibility as well.

Nope. The price tag is still too high for my tastes, and the games just don't appeal to me. There are a few multi-platform games that appeal to me, but there are some 360 exclusives that also appeal to me and it is cheaper. If they ever start releasing games I would like to play I will reconsider, but that doesn't seem to be happening.

Yeah the price is something I don't think anyone can spin.  Its value is there however.  The Free Online, the internal wifi, the built in huge HD, and the bluray?

imo its still the best entertainment product out on the market, it has everything out of the box and is only into its second year.

the future is looking great for ps3

i predict ps3 will be lapped up this fall.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

Think it all comes down to price. Sony need to bite the bullet and go sub 200 GBP to make the PS3 a viable option for the masses. Sony must be competitive with the Ms and Nintendo price points or they will be marginalised.

Unfortunately for everything Sony has done right this gen they have done two things wrong.

Also Sony may have misjudged the market mood for Blu Ray

Four of my friends have PS3's none have ever used them to watch a Blu Ray movie. This despite getting Casino Royale sent to them free from Sony.

Really nothing too interesting to me so no actually, E3 was a joke if you ask me, Sony and Nintendo had the worst showings of their entire history at the show, Leipzig has a few more details and a bit nicer but still the same.

See I totally disagree, but its all up to opinion.  I think the showings came off terrible since we knew about all the announcements before hand.
