Not sure if this has been done before, but whatever.

So Insomniac and Naughty Dog have stayed by Sony's side since it started the PlayStation. And their games have pretty much rivaled each other. But which one is better in your opinion?

PlayStation 1:

Spyro the Dragon vs. Crash Bandicoot

PlayStation 2:

Ratchet & Clank vs. Jak & Daxter

PlayStation 3:

Nathan Hale [Resistance] vs. Nathan Drake [Uncharted] (can somebody tell me why they have the same first name? I thought these two developers were creative enough to come up with different first names for their characters...)

My opinion is Insomniac.

I admit I like Crash more than Spyro. The concept and the fact that it's more cartoony is great. Not to mention Crash attributes to some games that have sucked up too much time out of my life: Crash Bash and CTR.

But Ratchet & Clank OWN Jak & Daxter. I've played a bit of Jak games, but they were NOTHING compared to what Ratchet offered. Plus, Ratchet didn't have to go into a crappy racing game, and his franchise is still going into the next-gen and satisfying as much as it always had. How many great games has he been milked into? R&C, Commando, Arsenal, Deadlocked, Mobile, Future Tools, Future Booty, and the new one coming in 2009. That's 8 great games (well, 7 so far, but the new one will surely be great). And I don't count Size Matters and Agent Clank into the franchise. They weren't made by Insomniac.

What about the two Nathans? Well, I've only played the demo of R:FoM and U:DF, and obviously Uncharted was much better. But that doesn't mean Resistance 2 won't own. Of course, what about Uncharted 2? How great will that be? But by that time Insomniac will still be ahead of Naughty Dog because of the new Ratchet title.

What's your opinion on these loyal PlayStation developers?

Well...considering that Jak and Daxter is one of the best platformers ever made....I give it to Naughty Dog.

For me it is without question Naughty Dog!

Easily Naughty Dog, I really dislike Insomniac.

I played mostly Insomniac's games, so I recuse myself from this. But I did play Crash Team Racing, so I commend Naughty Dog for making one of the few Mario Kart clones that are just as fun.

I feel, despite Insomniacs prolific release rate, that Naugthy Dog are better as, in my opinon their games are of a higher quality.
