Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo WiFi Connection should be getting better

Now there are over 100 million nintendo systems in people's houses which can go online. Why isn't Nintendo trying to improve their internet service. WiiWare isn't going to cut it, something for the ds got to be made giving some benefits similar to the psp. I really dont care of add-ons. It could actually fit in the gba slot or something so wats taking so long.

Because its free. Why would you make something better when its free anyways. Probably their mentality.

I hate it but business wise it makes sense. But if they get enough pressure then they'll change it.

I doubt that many are being used, though.

WiiConnect24 sucks big time. Why the hell am I forced to keep my Wii powered 24/7 to have access to the Nintendo Channel is beyond me ...

What's the problem with keeping it on? It costs you ~ 0.5 dollars a year

The Wii being hot all the time, thats the problem. It doesn't make any noise or anything but it's hot. And it also keeps the game dvds inside hot.

And actually the main problem is that it's pointless, I gain nothing.

It is very very slowly getting better. Mario Kart Wii is Nintendo's best online game so far. Plus Wii Speak will be coming out.

I doubt they will get rid of friend codes, what they need to do is have all of your games have the exact same friend code as your console! That way their will only be one number to remember!

@Faith Raven: WTF just turn it off. If you mean you don't want to use WiiConnect24, you can just turn it off. Or if you want to use it daytime, but not at night, turn the console off by pressing the consoles power button for 4 secs. Then the WiiConnect will be at "24" once you start it again. Don't people know how to operate stuff anymore?

@Bacon: I'm not in for the same code, i find the way MKWii uses the codes better, since you can send MKWii request via message board to your Wii Friends. With game specific codes you're able to have more gaming friends.

@excellent: I seem to have hard time comprehending your topics, but the Nintendo Channel just got released (and it has demos for DS). The Fuji Photo Channel propably gets worldwide release and it's yet to see what else we get.
As for the friendcodes and online play, i believe we will see similar system to MKWii to come standard.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

@bdbdbd:

If Mario Kart Wii and the Wii itself had the same code, you could still be able to send requests through the message board. I don't know why you think otherwise.
