well isn't it obvious? Not many teens or adults buy the wii now, it's all for lil kids and babies. Same thing is happening to the DS. Everyone I know who has a wii actually wants to get rid of it and get a 360 or ps3! So yes it is still a fad, but more like a novelty.
It still is a fad system. A lot of people walk into a store and ask where can they get a WII and personally have NO IDEA what it does exactly. They just know by word of mouth that it is popular and is super hard to find. The system has a depressing line up of current and coming games that should make any gamer, including casual, cringe. The system is a joke to all that uphold gaming as a past-time and was a waste of 250 bones. Never the less it is indeed destroying the competition and deserves praise in that right...

Um, the Gamecube was for little kids and babies according to fanboys... maybe they were right, but it didn't sell like the Wii does.
Hearing someone say, "Everyone I know..." is usually an indicator that the person is stating their own opinion because people hang out with others like them.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
Yeah, I remember the talk that Wii would immediately stop selling once it hit Gamecube's lifetime numbers. :: shakes head::.

People want the Wii for a reason.
Very few people are going to spend $250 if they don't know what they are spending it on.
As to the bolded part, I will say that I do not agree. And other people chose to prove you wrong 126 million times (153 SW-27 Wii Sports)
The only people making a joke out of gaming are those who think the games that they like are better than some one elses.
It's like movie critics who only like foreign films and dramas. An action movie or a kids movie can be good in it's own way.

Good advice, can you just do a forum search or is a site search the only option?
PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Fad or not, it has no interesting games and it's third party sales are well... shovelware. It has interesting stuff coming, but nothing that can compare to the PS3 or the 360.

Yea, it's a fad because there's no games you want to play on it. Totally related and relevant.
When everyone said the Wii was a fad? That was last week. Even if the Wii sell 200 million, analysts will say that it is in a different market.
