'We sould more software than the rest consoles combined, but were outsold 10:1 with all hardware combined. We actually don't care about Hardware anymore.'

I really don't understand why people think these NPD numbers for July are all doom and gloom for the 360. MGS4 released in June and if you predicted the numbers to go any other way for that month, then you're living on another planet. And it's not like the PS3 outsold it by 100,000 units or anything. I'm surprised the PS3 didn't outsell it by MORE units.

All I gathered from Microsoft's reaction is that they have confidence in their system and that they are pleased with how the machine sold in July. Unfortunately, the latest numbers from the NPD seemed to overshadow the fact that the 360 is (temporarily) outselling the PS3 in Japan. Didn't Pachter and all the other arm chair analysts on this forum predict that PS3 would be ahead by now? I saw a lot of "by summer of 08" stuff about 8 months ago. What are we going to change it to now that it hasn't happened AGAIN?
