Nathan Hale?....a Mascot? OMFG!!LMAO!!! For the life of me I cannot understand why Sony let go of Crash Bandicoot. They could've done something with him if commercialized correctly. Now the 360 has him. It's all sad really.

Maybe they should use a mascott who people who don't already have a PS3 will get? Sackboy is really only being raved about by the Sony community so I imagine to the outside world this is going to look like the wierdest shit ever.
P.S. Captain Commando should so be in the Next Smash Bros.

Well, my sister thinks he's cute. and she's 29.... hardly a gamer. I think sackboy has tremendous potential as the PS3's mascot. I have yet to find someone (in RL) who doesn't think he's cute. Regardless of whether LBP "saves" the PS3 or not, I think sackboy will be accepted by the public as the PS3 mascot. Sony won't have to "force" him on them.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
I think it's a stupid idea - at least until they see how LBP does in the marketplace. It'll be a constant source of embarrassment for them if it's a failure.
Just imagine if they had made a dragon from Lair into their official mascot.
I mean, we all have great hopes for LBP but it could still suck in the end. People thought Lair was going to be great, too.
