I know. He's too busy replaying tales, or Baten Kaitos to understand how a fighting game works. |
but with this peripheral it won't be a problem (except the name, lol)

There are 6 different buttons designed just to attack in Street Fighter. They have a light, medium, and fierce punch as well as a light, medium and fierce kick. The different attack strengths cause drastically different attacks to come out. You need 6 buttons that can be readily used on top of a way to move the character around. Can't be done well with wiimote or wiimote and nunchuck. It would hardly be considered playable honestly.
OT: I think the way he phrases his response says a lot about which games are or are not going to be considered. They are waiting for sales information so you can probably rule out DMC4, Lost Planet, and any other game that has been out for a while. Resident Evil 5 is one of the obvious ones they must be debating internally. Resident Evil sells like mad on the Wii. My guess is they are looking at Resident Evil 5 and possibly Dead Rising 2 depending on how well the Wii port of Dead Rising sells.
The Wii version of this game was 'slapped together' over a year ago.
MK is just as 'button-heavy' as Street Fighter, and yet somehow Armaggeddon has very fun motion controls that add a great deal to the game.

How about a new Bionic Commando game, but without the shitty art direction that the PS360 one has.

I'd guess Flock and SF4 if I had too.
Maybe Age of Booty? What's that about even?
Edit: Whoa. Mortal Kombat actually looks fun. I haven't been able to say that in a long time. Have to pick that up for cheap some time.

@famousringo: Bionic Commando doesn't stand a chance on Wii. Nintendo didn't allow Capcom to release the original for VC. When asked why, they said they couldn't comment on it.

Bets with Conegamer:
Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.
Capcom has screwed the Nintendo fan base just like they've pissed on the Sony fanbase. Last Gen (PS2, GameCube, Xbox) Capcom gave all the love to Nintendo by giving them remakes of all the Resident Evil's as exclusive games, also by giving nintendo RE4 as a timed exclusive. They also supported PS2 and Sony a great deal. Now they've screwed Sony and Nintendo, the companies who made Capcom who they are, over and over again. They won't even give the Wii a port of Bionic Commando, a game that originally debuted on a Nintendo system. At least now the PS3 is getting a little more love from Capcom, but I don't see any love for the Wii yet except for MegaMan 9, but that's coming for PS3 and 360 also.
I really think Capcom already has SF4 and RE5 for the Wii. So I think Sven is basically trying to stop the complainers from ruining their surprises.
Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.
