not to be fanboy, but it seems that it will sell more on the ps3. there doesn't seem to any release of the 360 version of final fantasy xiii in japan and other places. but a lot can happen and change. there is still no release date for the game but it seems to be a good prediction to me. my prediction sales are:

Ps3 version 3.0 million in the first week

360 version 2.5 million sales first week

it will sell more probably by a small margin.

When I say that your number estimations are terrible, I mean it in a sincere manner. Anyways, we've already had this thread before but since necroing is illegal, we might as well have another one discussing the obvious.

How is Final Fantasy 13 on the 360 going to sell 2.5 million with the Americas and PAL combined in its first week? That seems incredibly, incredibly unlikely. Final Fantasy XII debuted to less than 600k first week in the Americas, and that was on a userbase of over 40 million.

this is obviously a no brainer. 2.5 million WILL be sold on the first week when it launches in japan. figure the rest out.

The release of FFXII won't come until they are done with the 360 version, and work on that has barely started, so fans will have to wait even longer.

As for which version will outsell the other, the PS3 version will. It's like buying Madden on the PS2. Most people will recognize it as being on the PS brand, and I don't think JRPGs match the 360 as much as the PS3, but MS does have the most at the moment (console-wise).

Dude....it's exclusive in Japan, where it normally sells nearly half of the game's total numbers. It's a no brainer which one will sell more. And what's worse, by the time it comes out, the 360 will be in last place in EU, and in America the PS3 install base will be big enough to make a pretty hefty amount of sales.

My Prediction? FFXIII will sell more in Japan on PS3, Than Total 360 WW Sales, Bets anyone?
