Lol? There are no shortages of the 360 in Europe.
MGS4!

MGS4!
I doubt PS3 is low on stock. I do think some folks are now holding off for 80GB models, which would make sense.
If PS3 sales are seen as low in Others what does that say for 360 with lowest price (Arcade below Wii even) and largest games library? MS keep saying they're going to sort out Europe and other territories but there is little sign of this in the numbers.
Bottom line is while PS3 enjoys more interest overall in Others than 360 Wii is the real big story. It is definitely the choice for the general purchase.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
Wii is at 46.9% market share, again like last week, only from the Others.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
Almost 200,000 just from others. US and Japan might put them at 400,000 for the week.

Those are the exceptions, not the rule! xD |
If you mean the exception of being "good 3rd party games that make a profit" you might be right.
However, I have a feeling even the bad shovelware for the Wii probably makes a profit or breaks even. Not high profile shovelware that makes millions like Carnival Games, but even crap like Gingerbread Men.
There is one thing for sure. There hasn't been any big budget bombs on the Wii, like there are nearly every week on a HD console. Braid will probably be in the negative for a while, for instance, and it's one of the better games, with great reviews. Imagine how much money Haze lost.

To be fair, there are shortages of the Wii every week, yet when MGS4 week rolled around and the PS3 outsold the Wii WW by a few units, the PS3 fans celebrated like the dickens.
Should not the 360 fans be able to celebrate gaining ground on the PS3.
It's a fair and valid excuse, granted, but it's still an excuse. Numbers are great, because we can look at them knowledgably, knowing what casued them, or we can view them simply as hard facts without explaination, and both methods are equally valuable.
Numbers are the only time someone with less information could possibly form a more valid point.

You have got to be kidding me. X360 has no chance of finishing second. PS3 has a better chance of finishing first than the X360 has of finishing second this console generation. Wii is expected to slow down in sales it has all its best games out already. PS3 has its best games yet to arrive which will significantly increase PS3 console sales. PS3 is future proof, PS3 has WiFi and Blu-Ray out of box. PS3 is the future of gaming. X360 is just an upgraded Original XBox.

Off topic: Did you tell me something like Tales of Vesperia would only sell 200,000 units worldwide? The Source said it might sell 150,000 in Japan this week. You sticking by that?
On topic: Settle down there Rock, he didn't shoot your dog, lol. Either way it turns out, they're still just fighting to be the first losers. The 360 is a hell of a lot better than the first Xbox, and it's gotten more 3rd party support than the PS3 this gen, which is freakin huge. Even if it gets pwned eventually by the PS3 in sales, it's still got an amazing and competitive library, second to none.
Now, if you will kindly oblige me with those PS3 games that are yet to arrive, which are the "best games on the PS3" but are exclusive.
Also, you may write me an essay if you wish, on exactly what an evergreen videogame title is, and why casual titles and back-catelogue sell the Wii better than new releases sell HD consoles.
Just a passing note: Blu-Ray out of box is nice and all, but it's kind of unnecessary for most, or all games, and the PS3 certainly is a future-proof video player, however, I don't think it's any more future-proof as a gaming machine than the 360. Especially now that the 360 has the ability to fully install to the hard-drive, and we can even play great games like Portal and Braid via download.

WhileI agree the PS3 is a more likely 2nd place than the 360, the 360 definately has a much better chance of 2nd than the PS3 has of 1st.
Here are my chances.
Wii 1st - 95%
Wii 2nd - 4.5%
Wii 3rd - 0.5%
PS3 1st - 4%
PS3 2nd - 65%
PS3 3rd - 31%
360 1st - 0.5% (would take some kind of miracle)
360 2nd - 30.5%
360 3rd - 68.5%
