I like WRPG's because they are easier to play and I understand the story. However JRPG's I find are very difficult to play, complex long drawn out stories that I find very tedious and boring.

That means that you want a straightfoward story which can be very boring if done poorly.  I find the complex stories more interesting than the straightfoward ones.  If you think any JRPGs story doesn't make sense, then you never played Lost Planet or Ninja Gaiden.  The stories of those two games make no sense at all and are marred by terrible writing.

I played Ninja Gaiden 2 and it was very difficult and it had a terrible storyline.

JRPGs>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> WRPGs,

oh read my sig.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Story was never a main selling point for Ninja Gaiden so who cares if Ninja Gaiden's story was terrible.  Hell, it made no sense at all

oblivion was allright but to the story was awful
same for mass effect (affection), the amount explicit acts going at it... made it repulsive

Fallout series now that is worth talking about. Fallout 3 will be amazing when  it comes out.

Hell no! damn western players have ruined the best game genre ever with their lack of patience and pretty much made every damn RPG a hack and slash crap.

Bring back random encounters and worldmap ala FF1-9.

thats why Lost Odessey is my favorite rpg this gen.

Long? games should be long the longer the better I wich games could be 80+ hours main story.

I'd rather a quality 20 hour game than an 80+ one filled with pointless and annoying random encounters and door/switch puzzles.

I'm still an JRPG guy. Eternal Sonata is my favorite this gen so far. LO was pretty good but Blue Dragon was horrible. I like Mass Effect but finishing it became a chore. WRPGs just don't have the sex appeal JRPGs have.

360 Games Now Playing   360 Games unopened:  Resonance of Fate  Last 360 Game I Beat: Resident Evil 5

DS Games Now Playing: Dragon Quest VI  DS Games unopened Knights in the Nightmare, Etrian Odyssey III, Okamiden, Dragon Quest IX Last DS Game I beat: Radiant Historia

Wii Games Now Playing  Super Mario Galaxy 2, Arc Rise Fantasia  Wii  Games unopened  Little King's Story, Sonic Colors, Silent Hill Shattered Memories Last Wii Game I beat: Sin & Punishment 2

I don't really pay attention to what is what based on WRPG or JRPG so unless told what each is I wouldn't know.

But knowing the Mass Effect is I thought that game was pretty bleh. The story was alright, though not amazing. I hated the fighting style, it was so dumb. Just basically sit and cover, pop out and shoot. Wasn't fun at all.

And the tons of sidequests on the different planets was stupid. They made a whole big planet to just roam your vehicle around on and find trash on the planet. Then you find 1 building somewhere on it and they all are basically the same looking inside.

Could someone list the top 5 or 10 or whatever best WRPG's

I never tried a WRPG, so I'm more of a JRPG guy.
