Forums - Microsoft - The best part about Braid...

I admit, I was a little skeptical of Braid.  I assumed it was just going to be some decent platformer that cost too much money but I tried it today and I must say I'm blown away.  The game is actually pretty awesome: the puzzles are challanging in that they take thinking *and* coordination and the time mechanic is just incredible.

But the best part of the game?  The music.  The moment I first heard the music I was instantly hooked.

tag:"reviews only matter for the real hardcore gamer"

The more threads made about this game the better. Buy it now, its simply the best game on xbl as far as I'm concerned.

I just looked at a couple videos...looks pretty interesting...I'll get it on PC whenever it comes out I guess.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

It's funny how XBLA, PSN, and WiiWare is where most of my "Most Wanted" appear...

Great post Twesterm, short but sweet.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Music is great.
Art is great.
The mechanics in each world are great. I like World 4 although many people don't.
The ending is great. At least the regular ending, I need to start over and get all the stars, I'm not sure how that changes things...

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

Do you get achievements in it?

Oh man.

The 2nd ending changes a LOT. I won't spoil it for you....But yes...It changes things.

Reask - Braid has 200 achievement points.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Why haven't I bought this game yet? Need to do that when I get home today.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.
