Yes, but Gongora wasn't the reason.  The reason was because of the characters like Kaim and Jansen.  I am more concerned if the main characters in JRPGs are interesting than if the antagonist is interesting.  Gongora was very generic for a JRPG villian.  He had a generic motive too:he wanted to control the world

I am more excited about IU than TLR for some reason, I am not sure why. I may buy TLR when it comes to PS3, mostly because I will probably have more time then (though if SO 4 is close to then i wont get it)

Am I the only one who thinks that when they say "JRPG" it means the game is Turnbased and not like games like SO3.?



If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

JRPGs can have a real time battle system and WRPGs can be turn based.  SO3 is a JRPG and so is IU.

 

I am looking forward to both but slightly more interested in IU.  TLR looks pretty good but other than the unique take on turn based combat, it looks like a typical S-E RPG, which isn't a bad thing necessarily.  IU on the other hand has a few innovative features which seperate it from other JRPGs, though this is to be expected from tri-Ace who seem to enjoy taking advantage of system hardware.

LR looks better to me for some reason. it looks like it has alot of epic battles which i love. IU looks good as well. but i wanna see more from both, but i will definantly will only be purchasing one of these, unless they're both amazing games then i'll spend the cash!

I never played a FF or another JRPG, but as I heard Last Remnant, Tales of Visperia, Star Ocean, Infinite Undiscovery and even Final Fantasy made its way on the 360, I decided to try a JRPG. Everybody was so curious about these game. I chose Last Remnant and will play it. Looking forward how it will be, maybe I won't play different games ever again :D

What are SRPGs btw? just read it and didn't know anything about it, what does it stand for?
