Mass Effect on DS a Possibility?

BioWare looking to get handheld division off the ground.

UK, August 8, 2008 - The frankly ridiculous idea of a portable Mass Effect for the Nintendo DS could be a distinct possibility, with BioWare's Miles Holmes recently saying that the developer is looking to bring its existing franchises to the handheld.

"We have a lot of big plans for Mass Effect," said Holmes in an interview with eurogamer.de, kindly translated by its sister site gamesindustry.biz,
"having a DS version would be an awesome way to keep interest alive and keep it going in addition [to Mass Effect 2]".

BioWare is currently hard at work on Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, its first attempt at a DS title and one that could herald the start of a long relationship between the developer and the phenomenally successful handheld console.

so... the DS game is just to keep the "interest alive"?

I guess expect mini-games and some facial drawing games.

seriously, DS deserves better. Especially from a good dev team.

If it were very story driven, perhaps following another character during the time ME was set, I would buy it.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

I didn't really like mass effect as much as others, but I might buy this if it turned out well.

Why not PSP.

Because bioware seem to hate sony, have they ever released a game for their consoles?

Anyway, I would prefer that they just concentrate on making sure Mass Effect 2 can load textures properly

Actually I agree. This is a game I would prefer on PSP. I guess its about sales like always.  I wonder what they will pull off on DS though.

interesting... I would get it if it has good reviews like the 360 one or near that...
