Forums - Gaming - Looking for a fighter: Burst Limit or Soul Calibur IV?

Pass on both.

Burst Limit for above reasons.

Pass on SCIV because apparently they took out Team mode, Exhibition mode, and Weapon Master mode. Also it seems that a lot of the characters are just clones of other characters.

Save your money and wait for Naruto.

Unfortunately, Naruto won't support online multi play.

But the developer may patch it if the sale # is good.

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

Go to a friend's house who has a 360 and play Braid.

Let that tide you over till Naruto arrives.

lol, to be honest, I wanted to mention Braid bad. It's could be one of the best of all time. However, I didn't do so because I didn't think Naz had a 360. It's so good, lol. The eurogamer review is what even made me buy it, cause I thought it was too expensive at first.

Anyway, lemme find that list, it's for 360 post Too Human, so you'll have to adjust slightly for PS3:

0826 Tales of Vesperia

0901 Infinite Undiscovery

0916: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

0930: Rise of the Argonauts

0930: Silent Hill: Homecoming

1001: Project Origin(F.E.A.R. 2)

1007: Fallout 3

1007: Fracture

1020: Dead Space

1021: Fable II

1104: Left 4 Dead

1107: Gears of War 2

1111: Call of Duty: World at War

1111: Mirror’s Edge

1118: Prince of Persia

1118: Sonic Unleashed

1120: The Last Remnant

1128: Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

(PS3 should substitute WKS, LBP, Resistance 2, and Killzone 2, ect)

(Also, most would want either Rock Band 2 or Guitar Hero 4)

And then DS post FFIV:

      Dragon Quest IV

      Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia

So, yes, I suggest saving money where you can. It's gonna be tight this holiday. Note these are just my picks for probable first day purchases.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

. . . ! ?

Link?  Source?  WTF-sauce?

Edit:  Found it:

IGN:

As the demo ended, we asked Matsuyama if there would be any online attributes to Ultimate Ninja Storm. "Unfortunately, we don't have any individual online matchmaking modes for the game, but we will be planning downloadable content that will hopefully compensate for the lack of that feature. We'll make sure we have something interesting for the downloadable content, don't worry."

Dont know about Sc4 but tryed Burst limit for a week then i returned it, it was an easy game too learn and so but it was too short and online it was really crap so u better try Sc4 and it was the ps3 version.

Not really interested in Virtua Fighter, but I do want an HD fighting game for my PS3. I'm putting it in gaming disucssion since both games are multiplat and I figure the small differences between the PS3 and 360 versions shouldn't be enough to make 360 owner input invalid. I've bought 5 games for my PS3 so far and am very happy with my purchase, but just want to add a little more variety to my collection.

The things I care about most:

How long each game will have fresh content.
How easy it is to pick up and play, even for non-gamers.
How combo focused it is (don't want too much combo focus)

Tekken 6

Soul Calibur 4

Blaz Blue (The new Guilty Gear franchise)

Street Fighter 4.

....Thats all I have to say about that.

I hated SC4 and I heard the DBZ fighter is great.

DBZ is a glorified cinematic.

Why don't you just rent both?

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Definitely go with Soul Calibur IV. Some characters are very easy to use and own with. A new player can pick up Cervantes and immediately start owning since he has good range, easy low to high and high to low attacks that can be strung together, and well balanced speed.

If you're looking more toward the skill spectrum, try Ivy and you will find you have to concentrate a whole lot more. Button mashing does not work with her so you'll have to work for your wins and time your attacks.
