Buy a microSD. It should come with an SD adapter. This way you can use it for almost anything. Anything that uses microSD, miniSD or SD. You can even use it as a memory stick, for sony products, with a microSD to memory stick adapter. So if you have a PSP, you can use it on there also. microSD is the most versatile memory you can buy.
If you don't need it now, then wait as the price is always dropping.
You can get them for free from buy.com if you wait for a good rebate.

£2.60 for a 2GB SD card on Amazon UK, but of course delivery isn't free on an item that cheap.
I haven't needed one yet, personally. I just delete the games I've beaten if I don't think I'll want to play them frequently. I can always re-download them later if I get the itch.
