Forums - Nintendo - Is an SD card worth buying?

Buy a microSD. It should come with an SD adapter. This way you can use it for almost anything. Anything that uses microSD, miniSD or SD. You can even use it as a memory stick, for sony products, with a microSD to memory stick adapter. So if you have a PSP, you can use it on there also. microSD is the most versatile memory you can buy.

That's what I've done. I have a 2gig MicroSD card that I use in my phone. It's nice and I can put it in the SD adapter to make a regular SD card or I can stick it in a USB adapter to make a flash drive.

Not only that, $12 and free shipping from newegg was practically a steal.

Around the Network

I have a 2GB SD card from Amazon for only 11 bucks, including shipping (It weighs like 1/1000000th of a pound :P).

Homebrew channel, here I come! ;)

It's absolutely essential for homebrew.

DragonMedia Player + ScummVM + handful of emulators = lub

Don't you need Twilight Princess for the homebrew stuff?

# of games above 75 on Metacritic (including downloadable):

360: 241     DS: 144

PS3: 152     PSP: 126

Wii: 85

You need it to install the Homebrew Channel, but after that it's not necessary, seeing as the Homebrew Channel emulates the exploit which allows the Wii to run .DOL and .ELF files from the SD card.
