Does anyone have yo-yo sales figures so we can compare them to DS and PSP numbers?

my 360 hadn't been switched on for ages due to the Wii so i went out and finally bought Mass Effect yesterday and realised what i've been missing.
What a fantastic game and made me decide the rest of this year my 360's gonna get the most love.
I have a semi-relevant question
What type of games does the person who made the original post want to play.

I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |

So will NintendoUltimateDominationXRulerOfTheWorld be beaten by Sony or Microsoft at software and hardware?? When it comes to Ds vs PSP i see that PSP is getting meny games at next year so maybe PSP can beat Ds outside Japan.

Last I checked the 360, Wii, PS3, DS, and PSP were all getting many games, and were also getting good games.
The PSP might outsell the DS in Japan next year, it's certainly got momentum. Still, this handheld generation was won long before the PSP caught traction. Doesn't mean the PSP isn't or can't be successful though.
The Wii, 360, and PS3 all look to be successful consoles this gen, in one way or another at least. However, if you're still waiting for the Wii "fad" to pass, keep dreaming. :)

It could be interesting to watch if the 360 does come out in September at $199.99. Because I think that the way that most consoles etc are sold is by word of mouth. I think that scarcity generated a lot of hype which led to many Wii sales; however, when people that don't have 360's or PS3's go over to their friends' houses and see incredible games running on 360's and PS3's that are miles beyond what is on the Wii combined with lower prices for the HD consoles, then more and more people will be inclined to pick them up and games for those systems.
It will come down to how long Nintendo can keep their casual audience convinced that Wii games are the best and only games versus the quality of the more general audience fare that Microsoft demonstrated at E3: games like Banjo Kazooie and the quality of the Live Gameshows, etc. It could also be that a lot of people that had planned to pick up the Wii because of word of mouth have already done so as more of them have appeared readily available in stores. I was in a local Wal~Mart a few weeks ago, and they had three or four Wii's sitting on the shelf in the middle of the day. That was the first time I had ever seen Wii's in that particular store as they had been selling out as soon as they came in seemingly since the console was first released. The local Hastings also had three, I believe, but they have a no return policy on theirs, so I would think the Wal~Mart ones would have been a better bet for purchase.
Nintendo's E3 showing was less than spectacular in my opinion.

You could have said the same for nearly two years about the PS3, and for nearly 3 about the 360. The Wii is still smoking them. Its success is not ephemeral, no matter how desperately haters wish it to be so.

You must not have seen the DS games list, lol.
That said, there are several games for the Wii that look great this year.
However, if the Wii never released another game, it would probably still reach 50 percent marketing share within a year of today. That just my opinion, not a prediction.
Your PSP game comments...have you seen the upcoming PSP game list on gamestop? Troubling.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.

Yes, but that is only an opinion that can only be proven by time. The 360 hasn't been released at the $199.99 price point in America yet, games like Mirror's Edge, Gears of War II, the new Prince of Persia, Fallout 3, Little Big Planet, and Banjo Kazooie haven't been released yet. And the truth is that much as Nintendo apologists want to deny it the Wii has received a lot of negative publicity for its poor showing at E3 which seemed to fly in the face of the company's longterm "core fans" whom had been promised in press releases from Nintendo that "core" games" would be the focus of their E3 demonstration instead of titles that simply bring smiles to the faces of all gamers.

It's not an opinion. It's a fact. Look at the charts.
It was one thing to say this back in early 2007, but it just looks incredibly stupid now. The hardcorez have been bitching for close to 2 years, but the market doesn't care.
When Reggie said at the end of the conference, "We have one more game to show you." Almost everyone though it was going to be a magnificient core game like Kingdom Hearts 3, a new Zelda game, a remake of Final Fantasy VII, especially after the way that Microsoft ended their conference the day before, and Wii Music totally failed to deliver what everyone was hoping to see.
