Its success is not ephemeral, no matter how desperately haters wish it to be so." Yes, but that is only an opinion that can only be proven by time. The 360 hasn't been released at the $199.99 price point in America yet, games like Mirror's Edge, Gears of War II, the new Prince of Persia, Fallout 3, Little Big Planet, and Banjo Kazooie haven't been released yet. And the truth is that much as Nintendo apologists want to deny it the Wii has received a lot of negative publicity for its poor showing at E3 which seemed to fly in the face of the company's longterm "core fans" whom had been promised in press releases from Nintendo that "core" games" would be the focus of their E3 demonstration instead of titles that simply bring smiles to the faces of all gamers. |
It's not an opinion. It's a fact. Look at the charts.
It was one thing to say this back in early 2007, but it just looks incredibly stupid now. The hardcorez have been bitching for close to 2 years, but the market doesn't care.
