Does anyone know what the Super Mario Club is? That's another one you see all over Nintendo titles, even ones that having nothing to do with Mario.

I would love to know this aswell. I can't find any history on them on the web and there website is just a redirect to Nintendo.com

No, the Treehouse does the actual localization (the hands-on grunts doing the translation, renaming Pokemon, etc.) and do not decide what games, ultimately, get ported over.
