Summer means nothing other then momentum. It will depend on price and games by Christmas...
If 360 cuts price permanently and PS3 doesn't, PS3 has no chance to beat 360 this year and possibly the generation.
If both manufacturers permanently cut price PS3 will continue to gain on 360 wordwide but they may be hampered depending on the game reviews for new games on both consoles this year.
If 360 price stays up in price and PS3 cuts, PS3 will make huge gains on 360...
Really the ball is in Sony's court. They pretty much have to cut price in some way if 360 does to stay in the game. Because of the number of existing exclusives, 360 has a lot of room to come up with big value bundles at christmas. This is make or break year for Sony though. If they can't close the gap by at least another million wordwide by the end of the year they are in for a tough time the rest of this generation. It is obvious that 3rd parties are backing 360. Sony really only has strong 1st party exclusives.
