Not to mention, that with having in mind, that ps3 40GB was almost sold out whole month, numbers got adjusted Down.

When it`s almost clear that SHIPPED PS3 June 30th = ~SOLD PS3 July 14th.

Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

I like how when the Wii/PS3 fanboys were going "There's tons of 360's sitting at MY BestBuy/Gamestop/etc. It's because no one wants them." And the 360 fanboys have tons of excuses.

Now when there are PS3's stacked in pyramids all over the place - the 350/Wii fanboys say, "No one wants them." And the PS3 fans have tons of excuses.

Funny how the wheel keeps turning. That's why fanboys are so fun to watch get worked into a lather.



Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

Sony has to worry a bit here. Shortages at the same time your competitors just cut their price and introduced a new model. People looking for 40GB PS3's might walk out of the store with 20 GB or 60 GB 360s.

 

 I can tell you right now some of this is happening. When you walk in a Costco to have the guy tell you that they will not have stock for two months it makes people think.

I actually messed up, it's more like 31 or 30, not 37.  I was counting since it outsold the 360 the firs time.

But still I'm so sad that the PS3 has only outsold the 360 by 2 million units rather than 2.1 million units.
