Once I got in-game messaging I preferred PSN. It's free, less screaming kids, in-game messaging , ps store is now stylish and easy to navigate, the XMB looks awesome, runs smooth, and is easy to understand.

Oh, and achievements seemed pointless to me, it's just adding to a numerical value. I like the leveling up, collecting, and getting trophies to show off from different games on PS3 much better.

I think any non-bais person will tell you that XBL vs. PSN arguments are quite silly thesedays.
- XBL beats PSN on features.
- PSN is free vs. $50 per year for XBL.
In the end i think all PS3 owners should look at PS2's online and the Wii's online and be glad that we get such a great online service in comparison while 360 owners should look at the features like cross-game voice chat and realize that alot of the features they take for granted are the reason XBL gold costs $50 per year.
The only thing that looks better in my opinion on xbox live is the fact that it downloads faster PSN but if I could choose I would rather have slower downloads and not 60 Euro a year for Gold..
And I really dont' like the xbl arcade games so much...The only games I really enjoy are ports.

The technology and content is not better. What is better, is MS chose to include a headset with every purchase, and the one thing you mentioned is better then everything else combined.... more people are on it.
You can make the best online gaming network in the world, but if your friends are not on it, it's worthless.
Main difference between PSN and LIVE is content
PSN= 7eleven
LIVE= Walmart
"I envy you. You North Americans are very lucky. You are fighting the most important fight of all- you live in the heart of the beast."
Ernesto "Che" Guevara.
I know what you mean, the PSN is great compared to XBL.
The menu's are easy to navigate, the store is organised VERY well and I don't really see the attraction of paying for the online where I'm getting a better service with no lag on the PSN.
