 So it is not that they are spinning the data it is that they are spinning the data? The Wii is crushing everything else other home console right now. There is no getting around that unless you want to try to completely reword and redefine what it is to be a part of the console wars.

 And my 360 comment was clearly talking about America only. You are not in a dog fight if the other guy is a mile ahead of you. You might be gaining on them, and heading for a dog fight. You might be zooming past them. You might be just keeping pace with them, but that wouldn't make it a dog fight.

 They are outselling the 360 by a few thousand if they do at all save for June. They have a gap of 5-6 million to cover. It is a dog fight when you can actually have a chance to pull ahead of your competitor. Currently, they are just keeping pace while selling a very respectable number of consoles. I am no trying to say the PS3 sales suck, but the install base in miles behind 360 in America right now.

 

 well i agree with your description but slight and respectfully disagree with some parts. i wouldnt call it fair to say install base is miles behind, if both were launched at same time then i would accept a "miles behind quote"

im off to play ferrari challenge now, i might do a review on vgchartz soon, its really good.

FACT: PS3 is the number 1 HD console on the market that has a blue ray player,a sixaxis controller, and the exclusive game called Uncharted.

So I ask you instead...whats the appeal of PS3? MGS4? the fact that you owned ps1 and ps2 and now feel compelled to buy ps3?

FF13?...of wait, scratch that one...

   That 360 has the better gaming library argument is a myth especially lately.  Quick name one must have 360 only game that came out in 08!  Anyone?  Anyone?  (NG2 sucked and the sales/reviews showed that, so don't try to say that NG2=MGS4 or anything)

As long as you don't count the DS (because it fits in your hands) or the Wii (because it doesn't count), the PS3 is doing pretty good but is still behind the 360 world wide.

Except in Japan where it is doing very badly.

Oh, and some PS3 games are HD, but many do not reach the lowest HD standard. So we should call it a "mostly-HD" or maybe "partially-HD" console.

But almost no games reach the highest HD standard.

What PS3 games aren't in HD?

720p is HD if that's what you meant...not really a question.  720p and 1080p are both HD.
