On topic: Great for the Wii, great for the DS, great for Nintendo, great for VGC. Hoo, hoo and an extra hoo!

You make a good point Rol.
@Rock_On... Didn't you leave? What's the point of changing your name from RockOn2008 to Rockon2009?
Is your sudonym a prediction of when the Wii will last to?

Interestingly DS is only at 8.3K for that week though. Huh. 49K vs 8.5K not at the same 10% ratio...

Yes, interesting. Just confirms that VGC is biased against the DS.

Another thing of note is that the PS3 still has the theoretical chance to set a new record, because it was released roughly three months after the Wii in Australia.

Ahh right.  Australia counts as europe for some dumb reason.

Hey if they count all those PS3's they're giving away with TVs as sales it could eaisly set that record.

I wonder if the DS is seriously undertracked in Australia or if it's just a typo... though 49,000 would be a weird typo... at best it could be 4,900 and the numbers would still be off.

Wonder what GFKs average weekly number for Australia is DS wise.

Go Aussies....?

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

But what sucks is no.2 selling system is the PS2. Which means what exactly, i dk. Were getting fed last gen. left overs at prices that US market would laugh at and ridicule.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

1 in nearly 40 Aussies have a Wii. Damn

Nice. Seems like our numbers are pretty much spot on as usual.

Reading this now, I don't see RockOn's posts, which just makes Rol's fix, even funnier.
