In the US, grey, colour, etc. are wrong.

Edit: Oh, and "thru" is only ok on street signs.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I was learned how to spell in Englands English. So in that case i would spell it like.

Through, Grey, Colour

thru, gray, color just look so baby like, not so much "color" or "grey" but "thru" just looks way to wrong.
