mrstickball said: And in the end, you'll be wrong. Nintendo has said that they won't even have 20m systems built by December 31st, 2007.
PS1 sold 100m in the 80m SNES/GC era. Big whoop. Europe was far more viable in the PS1 era, and it's economy was able to support more systems. Unless China/India are huge players in 3 years, and they only buy Wiis, there is no way Nintendo is going to sell what you claim.
But we'll see. Nevertheless, I fail to see how Nintendo, who's only sold around 5m systems in 7 months, can randomly sell 12m in 5 months. But I guess anyone can predict stuff, but only few can actually be right. |
They call it forecasting conservatively. And that's a Nintendo forté. 20 million will be sold by 12-31-07 AT LEAST.
80 million? SNES sold just under 50 million. GC sold under 25 million.
5 million in 7 months? Hmmm...front page says currently "8.61 million" Wiis worldwide. Months starting from November 19, 2006: December 19 [1], January 19 [2], February 19 [3], March 19 [4], April 19 [5], May 19 [6], June 19 [7].
8.61 million in 7 months according to VGChartz to which mrstickball is a forum moderator of.
5 million in 7 months according to mrstickball himself. Hmmmm.....
This is gonna be a fun year for me. Proving 'em wrong is what I live for.
