I was thinking on getting mario party 8, but i wasn't really hasty with it because I knew sooner or later mario party 9 would come along.

But i checked the other day and heard it probably will use the balance board....

Does anyone know more?

I dunno, it would make sense for them to use the balance board. Raving rabbids are.. I am aniticpating buying mario party 10- I am hoping they will have Wii remote and balnace board down cold by then, and at the same time have it be an anniversary edition witht he best mini games and baords in the series. Also, bring back MP2 costumes hopefully.

I haven't heard this but it does make sense. Goofy mini-games with a balance board actually sounds like it could be fun. Rayman's going to have butt sledding.

It isn't even announced. I suppose they could spring it on us late in the year, or else it will be a 2009 title.

MP9 isn't announced, but I'm sure it is being made. I hope Mini-game mode will be online. I'm sure it will be announced later this year or next year. After all, 8 is the best selling one. I hope that if it does use the Balance Board, it won't be required.

agreed, it is in development. Maybe we could get it this christmas?

Very likely it will support the Balance Board but it wouldn't be required for play. If MP9 isn't out for this holiday season then expect it in the spring of '09 also including MotionPlus support.
