Cobretti, you are just plain wrong.
And this comes from someone that hate Sony for its shoddy quality products (people around me actually were shocked to hear me say I was going to buy a Sony TV).
But the fact is that their SXRD RPTV series (NOT the LCD, which must be what you are talking about), are one of the best HDTV around (again, the Pioneer Elite are the best, but 3-4 times the price).
What makes them even better, is that they are far better than every other HD display (except Pioneer Elite plasmas) to display SD content, for now at least. You will notice SD content doesn't look good on any LCD or plasma. RPTV technology has this softness that makes the SD content look even better than on SDTV or EDTV.
And yes, Samsung makes some of the best LCD, but they are no better than the SXRD RPTV ones. Perhaps better than the LCD SXRD, which suffer from all the usual LCD flaws, like banding, screendoor (all LCD have space between pixels, making them a no-no for SD content, while SXRD RPTV have NO space between pixels, even if you put your nose on the screen), very bad black level (this one alone destroys your argument of comparison against SXRD RPTV), dead pixels, high real latency, contrast ratio, ...
But, I'll agree with you that personal preference in image can be different, so some people will prefer the HD look of LCD (I prefer the HD movie image type).
But we're discussing SD content here (the Wii), and there's just no comparison. Unless you use a scaler like shown here, where the final result is very good.
