Forums - Nintendo - 1UP preview: The Conduit

@Montana

1. Enviornment - The textures on the enviornment is probably whats throwing you off, note this game wont be released for another 9 months and also the art direction hasn't been completed in this section, in other words in three months the buildings could look drastically different and I'm not even talking about just quality of the image.

2. Character Models - These are what they focused on and they said they still need polish hmm, also I think they look good but that's just me.

3. Story - They admitt to it being simplistic now, sometimes things don't have to be overly condeluted for you to enjoy them, I know I didn't like MGS stories for their depth.

4. Game Play - I'm sure you know everything is remappable in real - time by the player minus y-axis limitations. As for the flow, I'd reccomend you watch a video of this game (maybe thing you'll se that the screens don't do the graphics in this game much justice.)

5. Of course if your just doing the usual then all of the above is moot and I wish you a good day. =)

Oh and perception + assumptions really only lead to heart break in the long run, specifically when decisions are made on them.

People, these pics are way too old.

Look at the gun here

And then here

Or this one

With this one

AND there are still at least 9 months of polish since they said they're done with the game and they just polish the Single and Multi player.

Geez...

Prepare to see your post get ignored DPy

@Montana: Then half of the library of the HD consoles should be inmediately dismissed going by your logic. What new elements do shooters on the HD consoles bring besides better graphics and online components? Nothing at all.

This game may look generic, but it has a lot of effort put into it. It will have a good online component with voice chat added. The controls are absolutely tight and fully customizable, at least most of the people who played it at E3 are saying that and it's bringing new puzzle elements and a very big array of weapons to the table.

The graphics are looking better everyday, those pics are extremely old and you knew that, but you chose to pick them to back up your hate towards this game.
As for the story it's too early to judge it. At least it's not another WW2 mindless shooter. I hope you don't hype games like Brother in Arms, Battlefield, MoH or CoD because that would be very sad.

Extrapolate must be a very common word on this site, because no one seems to know its actual meaning anymore:

1. to infer (an unknown) from something that is known; conjecture.
2. Statistics. to estimate (the value of a variable) outside the tabulated or observed range.
3. Mathematics. to estimate (a function that is known over a range of values of its independent variable) to values outside the known range.

You must have some interesting powers if you're able to "extrapolate" a quote.

And you think that High Voltage is the only developer that works under tough conditions? Developers at EA, no matter how much money they have to work with, still work under time constraints. And let's see what ratings the games you listed got. Harvey Birdman got around 60% on all three platforms, and Family Guy did even worse (getting about 50% on the PS2 and PSP and a 57-58% on the Xbox). Small bits of brilliance make up for a complete lack of quality? Well, that's fine. Different strokes for different blokes.

And while I agree that EA doesn't make very high quality movie based games, there are still some good ones (especially the Lord of the Rings games) that could outclass most High Voltage games.

As for EA and Rockstar, EA isn't a great developer but they publish some pretty good games. And with Rockstar, they're definitely a good developer although they don't seem to put much effort into their Midnight Club series.

Translation: No, I have never played one HV game and I am trying to look smarter posting gamerankings average scores. If you think that LoR games were good, then you are a lost cause. I would also mention that a single GTA game got more glitches than all the games HV developed. And they also got the same repetitive gameplay, the difference is that GTA always get 9+.

What is the point of going on if you had not played HV games but still think EA is better? Do you really think LoR (the 2nd and 3rd) is a fair comparison to Family Guy, KND or Harvey Birdman? I said show me similar quality games with the same budget and time constraints.

Who the crap cares about the budget? If you don't have the capacity to be in the market, then you just shouldn't be there.

As for your first paragraph, you're cherry picking a lot. Who cares about whether GTA has a lot of glitches? It's still awesome (in most people's eyes).

Sure, you may not like GTA, but sure as hell, I can guarantee you almost everyone else would pick it above Harvey Birdman.

You like to use "lost cause", "totally lost it" and such, but present no proof at all. When someone else presents some kind of proof (not necessarily good, but still proof) to back up their points, you just blow away the proof and pretend it wasn't there.

EA makes lots of good games. Sure, they make a lot of average games, but that's really OK, because those games have so small budgets, right?

Rockstar makes Grand Theft Auto. That's a good franchise no matter how you spin it.

I missed the joke. You took what some people said, but exaggarated it like hell. No-one said anything close to what you "claimed", and I simply didn't see the fun side.

The titles you posted are also fairly mediocre - but sure that's OK because they come froom poor little HW, which has little money and such...

I don't care if their titles are good if you think about time, money etc etc. If they aren't good enough to stand up against the others - then they aren't worth the money.

I don't think I've lost it, but I'll take your word for it, or where you sarcastic? I'm not really sure when it's you anymore.

EDIT: Dark Prince's pictures looked way better. Those look good, and far better than the slight above average ones which were in the 1Up article.

Let me play your game.

Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn is a mediocre game. It got a 78% (some fanboys increased it from 76%) average on gamerankings. It isn`t even a good looking Gamecube game, let alone a Wii one. It isn`t a high quality game like Final Fantasy series ( it barelly looks better than Disgaea). Nintendo could make a good game, but they are so cheap that they didn`t even make it look better than FE PoR. That is inexcusable considering they had a lot of time to develop the game. Voice acting is missing, save for the cutscenes. It is also generic and uninspiring. The plot is lame and full of cliches. There are much better and complex SRPG avalaible (Jeanne d`Arc, Soul Nomad). The game is also a bad move considering how challenging it is. Wii owners want casual and easy games. The dumbed down gameplay (you can`t even equip armor) would be ok with they added motion controls and made it easier.

If Nintendo can`t sell more than a million copies they sho0uld kill the series. Disgaea had a more limited budget and it is more complex than the entire FE franchise (they also got voice acting).

First: It's not my game. I personally dislike GR. I also have no idea where you took the other stuff from. You're pretty much saying lots of stuff that has nothing at all with what I've said, and I believe you're just trying to be provokative. Why "I" would add something about the profile of the game, which you have done, and I've complained about, is also beyond me.

Second: You didn't just use "my" game, you included your game in the final paragraph. Adding something about the budget when you mainly talk about quality is silly.

Third: You're not really funny, if you think you are.

Fourth: Radiant Dawn, is, while being a great game, flawed. It has several bad/stupid factors, and I can understand that people dislike it.

So overall, I see no reason for your post, other than provoking me, or calling me a troll.

This, and how about you go watch one of the 10 gameplay videos to see that the game does not look the same as it does in the screens.
