Holy crap same for me, the sound and look of the flood terrified me from finishing the swamp area. It was really well done. Well i was younger, i beat it a while ago on Heroic

I cant believe no one mentioned System Shock 2. Its by far the most scariest game i've ever played.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem

The "Blue Screen of Death" really got me, I so thought my Gamecube had just died.

EDIT: I guess I'm tired . I can't remember very well but I might have a (harmless) blue screen once or twice with my Dreamcast. That could have been the reason for this little mistake.

That.. that was so freaking scary.. and unexpecting... Played a lot of horror games after that but nothing came close as that scary... Except ther horror called the Simpsons: Wrestling
