Forums - Gaming - I think I would prefer FF7 go to the PS3...6 too.

Well, ToS2 has two different styles of play, one traditional and the other using more of the Wiimote´s features. They also are putting their mothership title on Xbox360, which means they consider the HD market as valuable too. It´s not all Wii goodness you know. How do you know SE won´t use the A button for attacks, that´s pretty straightforward to say the least.

Well the Wii has only one tales of so far. PSP has ToTW 1 and soon 2, DS has 2 Tales of and soon ToH. Not that big of a difference... It´s not they sell that much anyway. Look even at the ToS2 sales, rather disapointing.

I wouldn't want 1:1 fighting in Kingdom Hearts, those battles are chaotic at the slowest of time

For it work efficiently and not kill my wrist, they'd have to redo the pace and style of the fighting in KH.

Yeah, on the Wii it should be combinations of A and B button for attacks. Swinging the Wiimote up would enable you to jump and eventually moving the nunchuk forward would enable parrying but it could still end up chaotic .

lol what were you thinking when you typed this? All KH needs is ONE attack button. Not two. The A button is for that. Swinging the Wii Remote up for jumping would be...really dumb. B button should be jumping. The nunchuk parrying part might work but I'd prefer they map it to a button. Besides, you can parry in KH because you get some point things (forget what they're called V_V) that allows you to use different special attacks and such. It's not a necessity. And hey, you can still enable that thing with the triangle button like in KH2 (again, forgot what it's called).

@Kasz

What about big franchises that don't push graphics as hard as other games but still look great because of the art style (AKA KH). You seem to want the Super Robot Wars on the PS3...so doesn't that kinda contradict what you just said?

Yeah, but I only want SRW on PS3 because I know it won't get translated over and PS3 is region free.

Admittidly though, the 360 SRW looks cool.

If wii was region free i'd likely perfer it on the Wii. Well maybe.. SRW really doesn't add much from generation to generation anyway.

Yeah becauses 200k is dissapoiunting. Sell more than probably a third of the ps3s games in japan. And I think all of the 360s(I'm not sure). After looking only 8 ps3 games sold more. And its still not done selling. ALso it has yet to reach the other regions.

A game is meant to make profit the day it releases Soriku... Especially if it´s aimed at hardcores. ToS2 is the sequel to the most well-know Tales, so it should be expected to sell. Besides, it´s only a spin-off on paper, because it´s a fully-fledged Tales of with high production values (also the most renowned team working on it), unlike Tales of Fandom and TotW. To me, its sales are a bit disappointing.

Edit: According to VGC, TotA had an opening of 377k first week, nearly double that of ToS2.

This is pretty much a wishful thinking.. Given SE said this is possible then I say go for it. BUT NOT ON 360 please...

If I had to button mash enough during the 1000 heartless battle in KH2, think of how much insane waggling I would have needed to do.

I can not see how this would improve anything except my wrist strength.

As for turn based RPG's, how does pointing the wiimote at my TV and selecting attack, magic, defend, etc... better than simply tapping up or down and the X button?

In an active time battle... expect to get your ass handed to you.

The only time the whole point and click on the menu idea works is on the DS, because it is right in front of you and you just simply tap.

Honestly, I think this is like the 700th time we have had this discussion.

There is no "ToS2," not yet at least.

Symphonia isn't the most well known Tales in Japan, Destiny is. This is why there's a clear gap between Destiny and Destiny 2 (about 800k each) vs. something like Legendia which didn't even crack 400k on the PS2. Tales sales fluctuate based on how much the fans like the universe they're based in, for the most part. I've also noticed that the 2D games sell much better than the 3D ones on average.

That said, the most renowned team (Team Destiny) had nothing to do with it. It was done by some Team Symphonia members along with other Namco employees that aren't officially part of any Tales team. You can pretend that it has "high production values" compared to the Fandom games, which aren't even remotely similar, but reality will contradict you. It was actually pretty obvious that it's on the lower end, with many reused assets from Symphonia. They couldn't even get Fujishima to come back and do the art, they had to get someone new that's never done Tales before.

It may not have priority in the series because it's a gaiden to Symphonia, but it's going to rock because it's Tales and that's hard to screw up. But people pretending that spinoff, a spinoff already usurped by the announcement of an actual mothership title for Wii at the Tles conference, was supposed to blow past every other game in the series are simply kidding themselves to desperately make a point.

Yeah, simply saying waggle CAN be used doesn't mean that beats getting something that looks like you're playing Advent Children. Hell you can throw waggle into anything, that doesn't improve it, many would say it does just the opposite.

Like Torillian said, with FPS the wii makes a marked improvement over the dual analogue set up in precision, speed and ease of use. But waggling instead of pressing X to attack? I fail to see the upgrade.

 Vagabond allow me.

In turnbased RPGs and even action RPGs that are designed for it the pointer function of the Wii would add a lot of value. Stuff like menu selection for potions gesture based summons and improved targeting for starters. But allow me to go even further and suggest such things as turning your character fromj defensive(back Row) to (front row) offensive modes by simply targetting and twisting the controller.

RPGs already designed for a standard controller would not really benefit since they were deisgned with a different system in mind but even in the FF remakes I prefer using the touch screen interface over the older system for menus and even targeting. If FF 14 were to be made for the Wii with the pointer it could open new strategies and even more options with menu based systems while keeping a live battleground and without blocking or interferring so much with game play.

hink about the pointer as a mouse and than imagine palying Diablo with a dual analog controller or a wii mote.

i want it on wii,but i wouldnt mind it being on ps3
