Forums - Microsoft - Valve have new games in development for 360, NO interested in PS3 or Wii.

E3: GladOS not returning in Portal:Still Alive

Valve give us the scoop from the show floor

 Valve has confirmed to OXM that insane AI and internet celebrity GladOS will not be getting any extra lines in the Xbox 360 exclusive Portal: Still Alive.

"It's just a series of new challenges," said Valve's Doug Lombardi. He said that Valve see the game "as another way for people to experience Portal, without having to buy the full Orange Box."

The exclusive new maps added to the XBLA release of Portal won't have any new GladOS voiceover because Valve didn't want to mess around with the storyline so neatly wrapped up at the end of the game. Lombardi told us it wanted to avoid the potential problem of having different story strands on different platforms.

Boo. Still, good news for fanboys: Lombardi says Valve have new products in development for 360, but still isn't interested in PS3 or Wii. He also confirmed that the extra achievements currently being added to the PC version of Team Fortress 2 will be coming to Xbox 360 at some point, when Valve has worked out how it wants to bundle and present them.

Well, this confirms Left 4 Dead isn't coming to PS3.

But yeah, I thought they were making a Wii game...

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

It's MS money-hatting! Gabe Newell is a former Microsoft employee for god's sake. It's so obvious!

Why?

@machu_pichu
I recall Gabe Newell expressing interest in developing for the Wii, but I don't think there was any word on any planned games.

More games for the 360, good news.

well if they want to loose money it's their choice.

really how many "hardcore" games have profitable these recent year?

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)
