Forums - Sales - First day sold in japan, Folks Soul bombs hard...

First I am not 100% sure if this number is correct, I found them in Neogafs Media Create thread. It seems that they come from sinobi, mayby some Y-koron(sp?) could make a check?

the data is from http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=165276&page=9

First day numbers...

NDS Itadaki Street DS - 70k (not sure...can someone check to confirm?)
PS2 Growlanser VI - ~30k
PS2 Mana Khemia - <20k
Wii Hajime no Ippo Revolution - ~10k
360 Saints Row - ~7k
PS3 Folks Soul - ~7k

So Folks Soul seems to be bombing...can't honestly don't understand why the japanese PS3 owners bought their PS3.

EDIT and can a mode change the title to something that isn't totaly wrong gramaticaly(sp?)

Buy it and pray to the gods of Sigs: Naznatips!

Yes it bombs hard but as far as I understand it - Folksoul - 20k.

Seems to me like most current PS3 owners are die-hard Sony fans who just had to get the new Playstation as soon as possible. A lot of people have bought the console for games like MGS4, FF13, but interest in games that are currently available is much lower. Or maybe they're still paying the all the loans they had to take to buy the console, and can't possibly afford any games for a while yet. =P

Hajime no Ippo did way worse than I was expecting. The comic is 60+ volumes long by now, you'd think there'd be more fans who want the game.

Yes ... these are correct: http://ameblo.jp/sinobi/

FolksSoul and Saints Row 7k first day. It does say something about orders being 20,000, but for all we know that could be retailer orders? Does anyone know how many retailers pre-ordered this?

Dragon Quest/Mario crossover card game got 70k
They say the game has a high possibility of breaking 100k for the week.

HD loses in Japan ... again. I am sad. That'll mean no hardware bump, or similar one to NGS, 12% increase.

Japan is big on Blu-ray, that seems to be the driving force behind the system purchases.

Folksoul is the biggest flop ever... shit. I was counting for at least 100k (week)... It's hard to believe... this game is solid, there was downloadable demo... drought and... Japan is lost. They don't play normal games anymore... I can understand it's not a systemseller but... there is nothing to play... Pathetic.

Yeah, from my understanding Japan has higher HDTV adoption rate than the U.S. or Europe, so they'd be more likely to be interested in the Blu-Ray play back. Folk Soul seemed a like a game that would have sold much better than these numbers are indicating. I figured Folk Soul would sell better than NGS, but it seems that the opposite will be true.

It are indeed 7.000 sold, each. The 20.000 are accepted orders, which are from retailers not from buyers, I guess that's easier to make up of how well the game might sell. It's the same story with Trusty Bell, had 70.000 accepted orders (pre orders what ever you wish to call it) and about 50.000 sold the first three days...

Too bad for Hajime no Ippo I was expecting at least 40k for the week, that game looks like insame fun. Folk Souls bombed too, I think that they didn't make enough publicity.

PS Vita and PC gamer

CPU Intel i5 2500K at 4.5 Ghz / Gigabyte Z68 Mobo / 8 Gb Corsair Vengeance 1600 mhz / Sapphire HD 7970 Dual X Boost / Corsair Obsidian 550d

OMG PS3 is pretty much doomed in Japan at least until FFXIII appears...

Folksoul didn't get much publicity on websites I visited that's right, neither did Hajime no Ippo, but the scores of Hajime weren't very good and the game looks mostly a guy thing to be honest, not in the sense of targed on the major group of gamers. I'm planning to buy this game only for the controls, how WII changed game experience ey, or else I wouldn't be buying this game ;)

Though Itadaki Street I didn't see a thing about it either until about 1 or 2 weeks ago.
