Forums - Nintendo - Thoughts on Dead Rising and WiiMotion plus

I wonder how far along development/porting is with this title. If it was made ready for the WiiMotionPlus, there would be the potential to manually bash the crap out of zombies with random stuff.  Do you see the potential for stress relief with this? let's say you just got bitched out by your boss all day, and now you're back home and pissed off. Turn on Dead Rising Wii, and just have a go at a bunch of zombies by bashing their faces in with a garbage can or a bench. How awesome would that be?

Of everything announced this week, this is The One for me.

Sounds like a winning ad campaign!

LOL, Capcom better give me royalties or something. I'll settle for confirmation of RE5 for the Wii ;)

Its not going to happen since it was clearly testing in those pics. But who the f--k knows

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I guess it would be awesome!

It'd be fantastic, but it doesn't sound like the motion plus was available to developers shortly before today, nor that it will be commercially available until Wii Sports Resort releases. Even then though, I'm looking forward to it. The 360 version was incredible: adding in RE4's controls should make it astounding!

My brother must know about this. He loved Dead Rising

Besides satisfying motion controls, the only thing I'd like them to add is a better save system and a mode where you can just run around killing stuff. 3-Day mode could be played like that, but there was a time limit. Infinite mode could be played like that, but you couldn't save and your health was constantly going down.

Gimme that and I'll buy it first day! Otherwise, I'll still buy it first day, but later in the day XD

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

btw bardic, You were right about xmote clone. Even Reggie was paranoid

Yah I thought it was pretty funny. I can totaly be aboard with the idea that there WILL be motion controls for next gen for all systems, I just cant forsee it happening for the current gen. It takes a long time to cut through the legal BS. In a way its kind of sad, how patents prevent so much stuff from being developed.

On the topic of Dead Rising, I am estatic about it. This was the only title I truly was jealous of and pondering getting a xb360 for. Glad I sat out, as my patience apparently is going to pay off. =)
