Forums - Nintendo - Could we get Fatal Frame IV this year in the U.S?

I thought I would look at previous launches of Fatal Frame games to compare how long it would take for a translation. Here are the dates(ps2 version only).

Fatal Frame

Japan- December 13th, 2001

U.S- March 4th, 2002

That is less than 4 months.

Fatal Frame 2

Japan- November, 2003

U.S- November 5th, 2003

Idk if that is right though. But wikipedia doesn't list the exact day for the japanese version, and I doubt they released simutaneously. So I think we should discount this one.

Fatal Frame 3

Japan- July 28th 2005

U.S- November 8th

Just over 4 months.

SO could we expect fatal frame 4 to be released inthe U.S around November-December this year?

I can only say "I hope so." The games aren't that text-intensive, after all.

I hope by this holiday at least.

i hope so, it would give me a game to look forward to this holiday, i am buying some games this holiday but none of the games are on fatal frame level for me

Wii/Mario Kart Wii Code:2793-0686-5434

No, there isn't a chance in hell. I even doubt it will be released in the west

I hope so. Could be a holiday release but I suspect they'll release it early '09 here. Too bad. I'd love it tomorrow.

I need to check the game out. Heard previous games in the series were pretty good. This will be my first sirvival horror game not named Resident Evil

What about pal regions?

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
