I'm a Sony gamer, but I don't get it.

The PS3 is the lead development platform (the only platform in Japan), and no shortcuts are being taken to accommodate multi-platform. I'm still waiting for the same awesome game I was waiting for before. So why, oh why, should I be bitter that 360 owners get to share the wait with me?

At the end of the day, we're all just gamers, guys ;)

No no no no no no NOOO!!! If there are too many changes or differences that will occur between the 2 versions.... what if they have to downgrade the quality of the ps3 version too make sure that differences are less noticable???? If changes happen to the ps3 version then M$ can suck my nuts b4 they get another dime out of me for any future hardware/software/service... or just anything with their name on it!!!

I wonder how many DVD disks it is currently taking up...

None. The port hasn't been started on the 360 and won't start until FF XIII finishes.

Thanks for reading the article!

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Well, FFVII was 3 discs and it turned out pretty well.

I guess there is always the option of buying a 500 dollar Blu-Ray disc player for those that don't want to get up 3 times during their 60 hour game.

I wonder if gametrailers is gonna do a comparison video?

Cause we all know in the past, how the PS3 versions of multiplats have been far superior, with shorter loading times, better graphics, and no mandatory installs.

Blu-Ray is a talking point, the PS3 and 360 have graphics so close it's nearly impossible to tell the difference, and in general games don't need Blu-Ray. The only cases in which games are going to use enough space to warrant multiple 360 discs is when those games are designed with Blu-Ray in mind, and the developer just had fun playing with the novelty of infinite space.

If not perpetual, disc changing takes less time than mandatory installs, and hoping, assuming, or generally preying for a lower quality port of FFXIII for the 360 bears the remnance of the scar still left by that fateful hour in which all of the Sony talking points were destroyed, and reformed within the span of a single trailer.

To answer the OP: How will they fit FFXIII on the 360?

Slowly at first. Inch by inch.

It's sick how you spew lies. The installs decrease load times. You better thank the lord that you can install on your 360 hard drive now. Because from what I understand rpgs on 360 have some of the worst load times of any type of game ever created. So on 360 by the time the thing is done loading Your friend would have already beat the Xbox 720 version.

I kew this would happen withthe 360 someday for not using a another disc with higher storage. of course this has just started with games like Blue Dragon ad lost odyssey. MS is have going to do something to fix this.

MP3s? WTF? It's 2008. That would be like someone attempting to market a steam-powered car...

Worst load types ever created? Nah, not even close.

The 360 load times aren't very good but they're far from some of the crap we endured with the PS1.

I'm hungry and all everyone seems to be talking about is this FF game on these 2 consoles. Can't we just wait and see who gets what and what the quality will be. I'm sure MS won't want their version to be inferior especially if they can help it be just as good. Money talks and MS can afford to talk a lot. I'm sure they will do something to help the release be as quick as possible and help put it on as small a number as disks as possible.

Unless, MS don't care and they announced and made this change just to pi55 Sony and their fanboys off (it could be a possibility). After all, this may just be a tactic to slow down PS3 sales. They knew what boost MGS4 gave the PS3, and they can't afford Sony to get another big boost like this.

They won't have to downgrade anything because both consoles are pretty much capable of the same graphical feats.
