Yeah I always figured i'd be game for Wii Sports 2 but Wii Sports Resort isn't what I was thinking of. Unless I see more that changes my mind i'll wait till the adapter is sold separately.

Meanwhile, those of us without a stick up our arse will be buying and enjoying this game because it looks fun, without worrying whether buying a "casual" game will hurt our street cred.
Although I'll grant you that this should have been in the wiimote from the get-go. Until I picked up the system, I thought it would already have this level of performance. Better late than never, I guess.
It would have been nice if it came with the Wii initially, but obviously technology wasn't ready soon enough for that.
Your post, of course, misses the fact that anyone will be able to buy the add-on separately from Wii Sports, hopefully for 10 or 20 $/euro.

Attachment = $20, Game = $30, or Attachment = $30, Game = $20.
I'm fine with either deal...but hopefully the attachment is only $20.
$50 for the whole deal is not bad at all...it is a bundle after all, and if it's like the first Wii Sports, it'll get its money's worth.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
And I figure the standalone adapter should be available at launch unlike the BB which is still only bundled with WiiFit.
1. Probably easier to manufacture
2. To play multiplayer in WiiSports Resort which is the whole point, you need more than one.
So i'm sure when the game comes out they'll throw a bunch of standalone adapters as well.
I didn't expect a revision to motion control until next generation. And I really feel that if Nintendo had waited to reveal MotionPlus until their conference that the Nintendo conference would have been viewed a bit differently.
I also think that Nintendo's preemptive strike caused Microsoft/Sony to abandon their motion control reveals. I'd expect them to not announce theirs until they can acheive 1:1 with theirs.
The scary part: that may be by this holiday season, while Nintendo's doesn't release until next Spring.
Will this outsell Grand Theft Auto 4 on PS360 combined, or just almost?
How many copies will it sell?
I think it will be limited by supply for a LOOOONG time.
However, I think it could eventually sell upwards of 10 million copies ww. Maybe less depending on launch shipments and how cheap the individual motionpluses are.
I think this because there will probably be a price drop eventually and this will have legs forever.
What say you?
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.

That would be amazing if true!

Agreed, Zenfolder. 10 million was the number I decided on last night.
My question: Will developers have to design games with standard Wii-mote AND Wii-motion plus control options? That's gotta be complicated.....
