And if you actually read I say the same things you did... You must have not even read anything I've said after that cause you're fighting a battle I don't even care about, I was just making a point to clear up a debate between 3 posters and Soriku, and cause you never read anything you didn't realize I was trying to get the thread back on topic cause the 3 posters were trying to say the IP wasn't owned wholly by Disney and they wouldn't have the say. Honestly it was me getting them to stop with the ownership deal. But yes you have some good points as I actually did read your post, but Tetsuya Nomura isn't someone hell bent on supporting only Sony systems, he supports what he wants really, he's got 2 KH games on Nintendo systems, and one on the cell. My whole point in making the posts I did was to get people to see who really owned the IP cause they tried to say SE owned it and would mean it could only go to the PS3 (for some reason I never knew SE was a Sony exclusive I guess they missed the FFXIII announcement or the FF games on DS and Wii) |
Your not entirely correct, and I was right, but 10 years off. The owners of the Bond Franchise sold the rights to Activision to release all future Bond games, and Nintendo or Rare releasing a game made under previous agreements conflicts with Activisions contract. So Nintendo or Rare need to get in bed with Activision and probably give them a cut on top of that.
Its not an issue with the Franchise owner, but with the new people the Franchise owner said have exclusive rights to makeing games based on their franchise.
I was only able to peice that together from about a dozen sites, the one that has the closest to a complete posting of it is this one http://www.cubed3.com/news/7477 though you have to fill in the blanks in a couple places with further site searches.
However, while yes this thread is off topic now, it was necroed and is based on faulty rumors that have since come to look more and more unlikely. So its not entirely a bad thing. :)
Oh I agree with you by the way, at best SE owns 50% of the titles and franchise, thats at best. They certainly dont have complete ownership.
I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

"Why post something like this when all it will get is PS3 owners blinded to reality replying? BOTH THE PS3 AND BLUE-RAY WILL NOT LAST 3 YEARS! TECHNOLOGY CHANGED TOO FAST!"
"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"
"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"
