Forums - Nintendo - Who is excited for a Kingdom Hearts game with Motion Plus?

^ I stopped reading after I understood you have no idea what you're talking about with Goldeneye cause they can't even get Goldeneye on the VC =P but again it's an example and you're derailing a thread that I just put back on the right course. And if you actually read I say the same things you did...

You must have not even read anything I've said after that cause you're fighting a battle I don't even care about, I was just making a point to clear up a debate between 3 posters and Soriku, and cause you never read anything you didn't realize I was trying to get the thread back on topic cause the 3 posters were trying to say the IP wasn't owned wholly by Disney and they wouldn't have the say. Honestly it was me getting them to stop with the ownership deal.

But yes you have some good points as I actually did read your post, but Tetsuya Nomura isn't someone hell bent on supporting only Sony systems, he supports what he wants really, he's got 2 KH games on Nintendo systems, and one on the cell. My whole point in making the posts I did was to get people to see who really owned the IP cause they tried to say SE owned it and would mean it could only go to the PS3 (for some reason I never knew SE was a Sony exclusive I guess they missed the FFXIII announcement or the FF games on DS and Wii)

Your not entirely correct, and I was right, but 10 years off. The owners of the Bond Franchise sold the rights to Activision to release all future Bond games, and Nintendo or Rare releasing a game made under previous agreements conflicts with Activisions contract. So Nintendo or Rare need to get in bed with Activision and probably give them a cut on top of that.

Its not an issue with the Franchise owner, but with the new people the Franchise owner said have exclusive rights to makeing games based on their franchise.

I was only able to peice that together from about a dozen sites, the one that has the closest to a complete posting of it is this one http://www.cubed3.com/news/7477 though you have to fill in the blanks in a couple places with further site searches.

However, while yes this thread is off topic now, it was necroed and is based on faulty rumors that have since come to look more and more unlikely. So its not entirely a bad thing. :)

Oh I agree with you by the way, at best SE owns 50% of the titles and franchise, thats at best. They certainly dont have complete ownership.

I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

This space Reserved for the Nuggets of Wisdom dropped by Bladeforce:

"Why post something like this when all it will get is PS3 owners blinded to reality replying? BOTH THE PS3 AND BLUE-RAY WILL NOT LAST 3 YEARS! TECHNOLOGY CHANGED TOO FAST!"

"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"

"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"

Again SE doesn't own KH at all... I explained this, Soriku gave the cold hard facts, the only thing SE owns in the KH franchise is the FF characters and joint ownership of the games KH1&2 not the IP of KH at all.

Read a few more of my examples... but again off topic, so would you like to see KH3 made on Wii with Wii Motion + =)

Ugh why are 16 year old kids trying to spin things like copyright??

From their own KH2 site square Enix says:

---------------------------------------
© Disney Enterprises, Inc.

Developed by SQUARE ENIX.

© Disney. Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas © Touchstone Pictures. Developed by SQUARE ENIX. Characters from FINAL FANTASY video game series: © 1990, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2005 Square Enix Co., Ltd. All Rights Reserved. SQUARE ENIX and the SQUARE ENIX logo are trademarks of Square Enix Co., Ltd.
---------------------------------------

Right??

When you look at for example the chrono trigger DS site:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
©1995,1999,2008 SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD. All Rights Reserved.
Characters:©1995,1999 SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD. All Rights Reserved. ©1995,1999 BIRD STUDIO/SHUEISHA.
Nintendo DS is a trademark of Nintendo. © 2004 Nintendo.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

If Square owned anything of the IP there would have been:

© Disney Enterprises, Inc & SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD. All Rights Reserved.

But it doesn't... So that means that Disney OWNS EVERYTHING except the Square Enix characters...

You can't spin copyright.. The IP is Disney's.. Soriku is right about that..

OT: I'm more excited about a Harry Potter game with Motion Plus... doing all the magic by waving..
But I guess an Kingdom Heart game with Motionplus would also be good.. in fact any Kingdom Heart with Wii Controls sounds fun to me!

^thank you, but most likely everyone will ignore your irrefutable proof just like they did with soriku, cause I guess people can't read =\

And thanks for helping me get this thread back on topic =P you're a good help.

OT: ditto to what he said

woot, my thread got revived :P

Anyway, about the whole ownership thing. This is what Nomura said in an interview with IGN:

Q: Since they have Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII on cell phones and a movie based on Final Fantasy VII, will Kingdom Hearts ever be on another platform or in another media?

Nomura: Final Fantasy is our property so we can do whatever we want to, but Kingdom Hearts it's half Disney, so we can't use the property as we please.

Hmmm interesting...

I checked the websites of the games: KH1, KH2, KH:COM KH RE:COM...

And it seem that the first KH is copyrighted by both companies.. But the sequels aren't.. this would mean that Square SOLD his share of the IP after the first one to Disney.. the article is from 2004.. after the first game but before the others...

Now I'm sure that Disney owns the IP..

BACK OT:

Ehmm.. Zelda and NMH worked great on the Wii so will Kingdom Hearts!

it says half, meaning it could go either way. Its not destined to be on the wii as many people say.

Sigh... not this again. for the fans of Kingdom Hearts give it a rest. Like I said, Sadness will be a reality before Squeenix make another Kingdom hearts game on the Wii. Besides, Wii is a casual gamer console, you should accept it.

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

KH3 to PS3.

Soriku has no idea what he's talking about.

I would prefer it PS3 exclusive/360 exclusive or PS360 multiplat. I don't want it on Wii at all!
