Reggie said that they (people attending E3) would feel the next step. Isn't that what he said? So I believe he is talking about the people attending E3 playing the games today and tomorrow. So I expect NOTHING new to be announced from Nintendo.

All you are going to hear with "room voice chat" is background noise from the game you are playing. I don't know why anyone would want that. The playstation Eye does that and I don't know anyone using it for that.

1. Do you guys realize that you don't have to buy a peripheral.
2. Games that make use of a peripheral exclusively don't exist on the Wii to date.
3. The peripherals are their to enhance an aspect of gameplay**.
4. The developers can expand their imaginations bringing you unique genres.
5. YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY PERIPHERALS.
You can like new things - isn't that why you bought a Wii?

Happy? Sure (although the way it was presented sucked). But I, like most of us here, will happily take (and probably receive) more.

You should really, REALLY at least do your homework before you post.
In an interview on that subject with Shigeru he says if you place the device on a sterio you will not hear the sounds potrayed outside of the human(s) voice(s). In otherwords your online pals are more likely to hear your mother yelling at you to clean your rooms and not even know you have Metallica going.
