Forums - Gaming - So E3 conferences done. Shocked at Sony.

E3 is supposed to show you what is coming out this year. Sony showed games that are already out, then talked about games they've been promising since 2006/2007 (killzone 2 due out in 2007, LBP talked about at GDC 2007, then E3 2007, and probably E3 2008 -- let's keep talking about the same stuff every year).

Sony brought very little new stuff to the table, very almost nothing that they haven't been talking about for years. Did they miss the point of E3?

Microsoft obviously had the best show. There's no question there. But I think Nintendo is holding something back for TGS.

7. FF13 is now on 360. But on PS3 to , and exclusivly in Japan , so I dpont care

8. Sony as usual used alot of CGI cutscenes. Well there was plenty of gameplay to , so dont overexagerate .

9. M$ had the most playable stuff in their conference. So , its a conference , you cant play it so it doesnt matters . This point is stupid ...

10. M$ walked E3. This is not a point , this is an opinion ...

11. Nintendo will sell tons of every one of their announced games

12. PSP announcements ( R , LR2 , Patapon 2 , Valkirye , Super Stardust ) and DS announcements ( GTA , Guitar Hero , POkemon ) made Nintendos/Sonys press confernce even more colored ;)

 

I smell a little MS biass in yur post , so I wont even take the time to write a quality answer for you , but for your ten points here are a couple of adds .

1) lol, don't be a fool, Live is a tiny bit ahead of PSN and it cost over $60 a year.

3) lol, Gears2 looks so similar to gears1 its embarrasing, so many PS3 games blow it away.

6) lol again, maybe you should watch the conference, Sony showed so many games coming out this year.

8) Name them, the only 1 i remember is the MAG with its 256 online mode, i guess you must be upset the best the 360 has is the gears2 showing with 5 player battle mode against bots

@ 9&10, LoL, your fanboy vision is confusing you.

I knew alot of sony fans would be like ub bu bu bu the cell. LOL Fable 2 was amazing graphically as well, but i huess because the art style isnt for realism you will try and say it's nowhere near. Did you see the lighting coming through the trees? And Gears 2 like 1?. hahahahahaha. Where in the hell did yu see detailed environments like that in Gears 1. Damage control is here at the max on VGchartz.

 

 

 

I love the art style of fable, it has some of the best art style i have seen in gaming history.  And i never mentioned one thing about the cell, and i have never mentioned a single thing on this site about the cell in my entire posting History. And i was looking at the light coming through the trees then all of a sudden the other half of the tree would show up when you got within 20 feet of it.  Maybe the graphics were better then average and the game had some nice effects but the pop-in needs to be removed before the game comes out this fall.  And maybe my comment about gears2 was wrong, i was just pissed about something in another game thread and was not reading what i was posting. 

The gears2 game looked nice, but the one thing about UE3 is they focus too much on the Textures and leave out important effects on other parts.  The game just looks too clean and i don't feel like i'm in a warzone, i just bought UT3 this week and it has the exact same feel as Gears2.  But the lighting engine in gears2 appears to be better then the one used in Ut3.  But i have not downloaded the TPS add-on so far so once i get that it will be more easy to judge the games to each other.

wow 5$ for one month... you're really poor. And it's not a "tiny bit" ahead. It is ahead.

The level in that movie looked better than everything in the first GEoW. If they keep up the good work I can easily see 95% on Gamerankings and 7 million lifetime sales.

MS had some playable stuff and is for me winner of E3. (Even though Sony showed more games)

 

 

How is it a sigle player game, its an online mode with 5 players, compared to 256players you fail and gears2 fails.

Past FFXIII, what did Microsoft announce again? Anything near GOW3 or MAG? And new gameplay footage of something like InFamous? No.

They had a horrible show, and announced they will get a port of Final Fantasy XIII in 2 years. Lol.

Seriously, here we go again with the EMPTY MS CLAIMS! Jesus. What did they even show!?

Someone please dont just talk, give some sort of example! Lol. Gears 2, Fable 2, Banjo. All three known. Only one is mainstream/will sell over 2 million.

What here reverses the hardware sales of MS at all? What makes the 360 more desirable now than before E3? I really dont get it.

I break it down like this, what did each Conference do for me

Microsoft

  • I live in Canada so I don't think I can even use Netflix
  • I didn't like GoW the first time around
  • I already knew about Fable 2, Banjo and Fallout 3. (DLC not a huge deal for me)
  • I have a PS3 so the FFXIII announcement does nothing but make me wait longer
  • Lips, You Are in the Movie and the Avatars are just copies of other ideas

Nintendo

  • I'm not a big Animal Crossing guy
  • Wii Music looks cool
  • The Motion Plus thing is good
  • GTA DS = don't care


Sony

  • SOCOM MAG looks intense
  • GoW3 = woot
  • Movie Downloading is good
  • DC Online looks potentially decent
  • R&C Future sequel for $15 = sweet
  • Resistance games for PSP = good
  • Eternal Sonata this Fall
  • LBP contintues to look awesome


So it's quite easy for me to pick what Conference I like best

its so funny seeing all the sony fanboys claiming somehow that the ps3 won e3, dont be a fool. and for all the sony fanboys who think gears2 is only as good in graphics as gears1 needs to have their eyes checked because its obvious it looks alot better than gears1. also xb live is $50 and for what u get in content, i'll glady pay for it. because psn doesnt have shit in content that anywhere compete against xbl. and everything they are getting for psn, xbl has had for a long time now. also for shooters, if u want to play them get a xb 360 it has the best ones and also the more diverse lineup, something sony cant claim or could close to claiming that for a good while. at least this e3 made all the sony fanboys get upset, was so funny. :)
