The PS3 has sold faster than the XBOX 360 since launch with an inferior line-up of titles , the PS3 will still have the better games libary in future IMO , but regardless the PS3 will still outsell the 360 it has done , with a lower price point , with lower libary of games , with less exclusive games etc etc.

Anything Sony announce would be like a bonus and could only improve sales , I see the PS3 as no worse off than I did 2 days ago.

FF13 is nowhere near complete

 

Hmm true , what I meant was the XBOX 360 would delay the completion and release of the game pretty mmuch.

I glanced something on n4g about a month ago - it was a little tid-bit head line that I didn't read; something about Zeld... Shadow of Collosus 2. I would imagine that would be the mods alleged game as it poses such little in mass that a graphical upgrade would look tremendous in leaps and bounds.

I'm no fan of FF, infact, I've never bought or EVEN PLAYED an FF game, so it doesn't effect me, but it doesn't take a PhD in common sense to realise this was a major blow for Sony, coupled with the price cut. Just look around the internet. People are creating threads on it, Xbox fanboys are going wild, those who bought a PS3 solely for FF XIII are now ultra-pissed, and those who were planning to buy a PS3 to play it, will instead purchase it for the 360, or buy an Xbox 360 with it.

It doesn't tke a Phd in common sense to realise THAT WASN'T A PROPPER PRICE CUT , call it a clearance sale if you must , it was a shorterm measure to get rid of old stock , people are pissed because of their fanboyish nature , and because it happened within the last 24 hours.

Realise that

1.Final Fantasy XII is still on the PS3 , Versus is still exclusive , it will outsell the 360 version.

2.Anyone said they bought a PS3 purely for this game is either A.Stupid because the game wouldn't have been release till next year  B.Wouldn't buy any other games so are still useless to Sony C. Are in an incredibly small minority D.Are lying and are just causing drama.And why the hell would they buy an XBOX 360 instead ? Why wouldn't they buy a Wii or no console at all ? or why wouldn't they still buy a PS3 and pay FF and other quality PS3 releases Killzones 2, LBP , GT5 , God Of War 3 , Resistance 2 which aren't XBOX 360 exclusives and 99% never will be on the platform.

 

The only reason I even have a PS3 is because of MGS4. And that's pretty much it's only lifeline until Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 and LBP and all this other crap comes out.

That is if they're even any good. All these bland shooters like Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, KillZone 2, all look incredibly bland and boring to me.

 

All these people making £300 purchases because of 3 or 4 games really confuse me , maybe the VGChartz community is richer than other online communities i've taken part in but it just blows my mind that people would ditch Sony support over one title.

Well I think that they could announce XIII for a December JP release. I say this because it is clear the entire team is working hard on it, I assume to get it done for a tight deadline, so maybe the rest of the world could see it next summer

Unlikely to happen. There's speculation inside the industry, murmurings if you will, that SE already has FF13 for the HD systems, and are bringing KH3 to the Wii. Wait for official announcements of course =)

Extremely wishful thinking.

If it was closer to being done, why not show us a new trailer yesterday?

This game is nowhere near complete.  I'm aiming for a December 09 release in Japan, and an american release 18 months after that.  They have to develop the game on the 360, then localize it.

The game will launch so late in the game, it won't mean anything.

Ok, here are my predictions, some are crazy, LOL

1) Next GTA is PS3 timed exclusive
2) FF7 Remake
3) Price Cut of $50
4) GOW 3 unvieled
5) Resistance 2, Motorstorm 2, Infamous, Killzone 2, LBP and HOME shown
6) Gran Turismo 5 is unvieled
7) Talk about new features of PSN and more patches for trophies
8) Bioshock is shown
9) Socom is shown
10) PSP gets new GTA game perhaps?

I think summer at the latest. They are saving the new trailer for today hopefully..... It wont take 18 months to port, and they will be doing localisation stuff at the same time, and it wont take too long as the 360 version will be done in English anyway, as it wont get a japanese release (it will eventually I guess, but not initially)
